A Split holiday is a haven for history-lovers. Stroll to the impressive Old Town along the seafront where you’ll find the 3rd-century Diocletian’s Palace. Or discover the medieval Klis Fortress which was also a filming location for Game of Thrones. You’ll be awe-struck by these incredible examples of ancient architecture!

Built in the mid-18th century, this huge parish church has a statue of its patron saint Anastasia at the top of the exterior, while inside, there are five altars and a number of tombstones to explore, some of which bear inscriptions. Look out for the gilded wooden altar from the 18th century.
