Fantastic Beaches for a Relaxing Holiday in Calella
Platje Gran Calella, Garbi and Les Roques are the main resort beaches, providing 3km of open sandy shingle shores but beyond the broad bays there are secluded coves and a rockier coastline to explore whilst on holiday.
With sun beds and sun shades to hire, adults can happily lounge in the Spanish sunshine while children are kept amused with organised beach games, sports and entertainment throughout the summer months. Swimmers and divers can venture to the water rafts 100 metres from the beach and sea kayaking, pedaloes and windsurfers are available from the Watersports Club. For a change of scene, boat trips are an enjoyable way to hop around the coast to neighbouring holiday towns.
For a change of scenery settings on your cheap package holiday, a visit to the beautiful Dalmau Natural Park is worth the excursion to witness the narrow streets and a real style of old Spain.
Eating Out Whilst on Holiday in Calella
From burger bars to pizza places or tasty tapas and Catalunyan cooking in the old town, holidaymakers will find restaurants for every taste and budget. The evening entertainment is just as varied, with hotel shows a favourite with families, late-night music bars and a choice of clubs promising dance beats and frivolity until the early hours.
Frequent fiestas provide a traditional party atmosphere and on balmy Sunday evenings the Catalan Sardana dancing often takes place on the seafront.
