Have your mind blown at Lindos Acropolis, home to the 4th century BC Temple of Athena. You have to see this ancient architecture to believe it, and once there you'll also get spectacular views over the coastlines of Rhodes. (If you need to bargain with the kids, Pefkos Waterfun is back on Lee Beach – great for a sea trip in a speedboat!)
Pefkos’ generous climate means you’ll have no shortage of watersports opportunities. From diving to windsurfing, snorkelling to kite surfing, these beaches cater for thrill-seekers. Scenic fishing trips are a great catch from 40 euros.
Rhodes enjoys the best of both worlds for eating out thanks to its part-Italian heritage. You’re never far from happy hour, with everything from chilled-out cocktail joints to late and lively bars.
Try Pefkos centre for laid-back browsing of traditional Greek crafts, clothing and delicacies. The street running along Lee Beach is a great area for gifts and souvenirs. For you serious shoppers, head to Lindos where you’ll discover customisable silver jewellery and open-air markets.
Pefkos packs a punch in evening entertainment, whether it’s a late meal, a quiet drink or something livelier. Traditional bars and restaurants, more than clubs, are the main ports of call.
