64% of Holidaymakers Looking Abroad For Cheap Holidays in 2010

It has emerged that 64% of potential holidaymakers will be looking to take a cheap holiday abroad this year and 31% will be relying on last minute deals.

After a difficult twelve months of cut-backs, a summer that never was and the freezing colds of winter, many people are looking forward to the summer of 2010 with relish. According to Aviva, potential holidaymakers are already dreaming of far off climes and golden shores.

Escaping on Cheap Holidays Outside the Eurozone

As people broaden their horizons, destinations outside of the eurozone like Turkey, Tunisia and Sharm el Sheikh have become increasingly popular.

From scuba diving and snorkelling on a cheap holiday in Sharm el Sheikh to haggling in the busy medina’s on a cheap holiday in Tunisia, families and friends are looking for more from their sunshine sojourn.

And the 62% that plan on keeping costs down during a cheap holiday by setting a daily spending limit should be able to keep their coffers in-tact by the wealth of things to do and see for free at these destinations.

Where are you dreaming of escaping too in 2010 and where do you think will be good to go?
