Chatur Playa Real Resort

We stayed at this hotel from the 24/08/2023 - 03/09/2023. First impressions of the hotel on pulling up were ok, I wasn't blown away. It was about a 20 minute drive from Tenerife South Airport, luckily we booked private transfers otherwise this may have taken longer. When we checked in we was told we was staying in in 'the annex' section of the hotel. The issue I had with this is that it wasn't well advertised with photographs on Jet 2's behalf on their website. The only images they provided were inside the room we were staying in. The rooms in the annex were very, very basic. It even had a kitchen with appliances which we had no intention of using given that we had booked all inclusive. There was by no means any luxury in these rooms. The shower fittings were broken and had to be reported on day one of our holiday. Luckily the maintenance staff fixed the issue in a prompt enough manner. The beds in the bedroom provided no comfort and little sleep due to the mattresses been solid! There was also no air-conditioning in the bedrooms. The air conditioning in living room provided no relief from the warm weather, it barely worked at all. We took it upon ourselves to 'upgrade' to a room in the main building. The transfer was sorted effectively and promptly by the hotel staff. We had to pay 180 euros for the room transfer, which was an inconvenience given this chipped away at our holiday spend, but we couldn't stay another 9 nights in the first room comfortably. The new room provided was much better, still very basic at best but an improvement from the first room. The layout of the room allowed the AC to pass through the bedroom in to the living room area. The balcony had a good view of the sea (Stayed on the 3rd floor). After a few days spent in this room we again run into issues. We had no hot water to shower, the cleaners also took it upon themselves to throw away our scrunchy we used to wash ourselves with. The cleaners never took away cups and provided new ones, it was only when asked that they eventually did so and replaced these. The food considering it was an all inclusive resort was very very poor. No themed nights the whole time we was there, which would have been nice. Some of the chicken which had been grilled whilst you waited was still pink and raw in the middle. The kids resorted to eating the same things day in day out (Pizza and chips). I have never stayed all inclusive and actually lost weight! Would not recommend! Disappointed!!

This hotel is amazing ! Should definitely be a 4*. Travelled with my hubby and 2 girls (12 and 14) Rooms lovely and clean, cleaners in every day apart from Sundays. Pools are amazing. Food is lovely so much choice and never go hungry ! Drinks are great. Day entertainment was good, evening was good mini disco, parrot show was brilliant and the fire works were great ! All staff were so friendly. Only thing about this hotel I would change is the location is a little way out. Amazing weeks holiday would definitely return

Hotel in a good point close to the center not far to the beach. Clean rooms cleaned every day friendly service good food I recommend for families with a separate swimming pool with a paddling pool for children. SPA in the hotel I recommend massage perfectly.

This hotel is a 2 star at best, the pictures of the hotel were definitely taken some time ago as it is very tired. The only staff that were polite and welcoming were the waiting staff in the Buffett. The cleaning is awful and the cleaners wheel there stuff around in trollies “borrowed” from the supermarket. Bedding was stained and had cigarette burns. The all inclusive was a raw deal, the alacarte restaurant charges supplements on everything and charges your drinks. If you want a drink from the main bar in a glass then you have to pay. Free drinks were available from the pool bar in tiny plastic cups only. The beds were creaky, uncomfortable sprung beds like you would expect in an army billet. The noise at night from other guests was atrocious as all the main rooms (not apartments) look out to the pool area. There were kids screaming and playing in the hallways at gone 1am, I know this wasn’t down to the hotel as such, they could have polices this though. I know this review seems harsh, but totally honest I am afraid. Thank god for local restaurants and days out.

The staff were always polite and helpful.rooms were cleaned every day food was good.ten minutes walk from bars and restaurants beach was 15 minutes away the areas around the hotel were tidy . entertainment in the hotel wasn't the best but a short walk from the hotel plenty of bars with entertainment.

We have just returned from a 5 night stay. We enjoyed our holiday. The only complaint is the food. The cooked breakfast was always cold. There was always plenty of choice for lunch and dinner. The Hotel was spotlessly clean. Yes we would stop at the hotel again. Our children were not with us and I think they would have been bored. Aimed more for smaller children and couples.

I’ve just returned from a 7 night break at the Playa Real with my husband and 2 children aged 2 and 3. The staff were friendly and informative upon arrival and check in was easy. We were delighted to have a ground floor apartment as we have a double buggy and it helped to avoid using lifts. The room was a good size and clean but the beds were not comfortable. For our first few days we stay around the kids splash pools where it was quiet, this is a nice place to be with young children for a peaceful couple of days but no poolside music so we decided to start using the main pool for more of an atmosphere. My son joined in with the kids club and really enjoyed it, my husband and I got involved with some rifle shooting. The animation team were so friendly, Reva who was new was incredible with the kids, she made every child feel involved and special and even put suncream on the kids before taking them in the pool. Robert and Hamza were also brilliant and made our stay fun. Breakfast was good, we enjoyed freshly cooked omelettes. Dinner was ok, there was always something nice but in other hotels I have experienced a wider range of deserts but there was plenty still. The kids disco was a hit with my kids and they also loved the shows- belly dancing, snakes, parrots, flamenco etc. All in all a brilliant hotel with great staff. A good location with a short walk to the beach. Costa Adeje is a beautiful resort full of stunning bars and shops, it has a great atmosphere without being rowdy and has a real mix of guests of all ages and nationalities.

Overall the hotel was fine for what we wanted, food was good, accommodation was spacious, pool was lovely, a few issues with tiles missing. Entertainment okay. I would go back again for a week, usually we go for 2 but a week is enough there.

Firstly - The hotel staff and kids entertainment team are excellent. They work very hard and should be praised. There was also a different show on every night which was good.We have 2 boys 8 & 4 and they had a great time. One side of the pool was heated and they were in it all day and they loved the entertainment at night. The rooms (Junior Suite) are very spacious and clean. The food is average but plentiful with some decent choices. Snack bar during the day is a cold counter with hot dogs and hamburgers that you can heat in a micro....Oh with cold french fries.......Not nice!! The hotel is very dated now though and is in need of an upgrade. The bedding and pillows are a joke. Sliding cupboard doors hanging off. The maids were in every day though and the rooms were kept clean and tidy enough. Definitely not a 4 star hotel. Overall we had a good time but wouldn't go back as you can get a nicer (proper 4 star hotel) in a better location for roughly the same money. If you have young kids and want to venture out it's a bit of a trek up the hill from the beach.

The food at this hotel was lovely and the entertainment was brilliant on a night with a kids disco then a different show every night . I would definitely recommend this hotel and I would definitely go back

The hotel rooms were clean. the food wasn't up to much, the good at the snack bar was cold and we went to put it in the microwave but it didn't work .the cups for the drinks are tiny. The bar near the annex only opened 10-1 then 4-6 but it never opened on time and it was quite a walk to the other pool bar. I didn't find the staff that friendly apart from receptionist.and finally it is up 3steep hills from the sea front .

Very basic hotel stayed in annex 3 adults and a 2 year old, sleeping arrangements poor as camp bed and pull out sofa not very good, found service in bars poor either no staff or short of staff, restaurants OK but plates etc very poor trying to find a plate without bits missing got a bit much, night time entertainment quite good all kids enjoyed them self's, day time poor as all pools freezing laughed when they tried to organise water polo and no one joined in did report pool issue but was told pool was 24c when chalanged them to prove this they did not, for me if you can't swim in pool it not a holiday would not recommend this hotel for family holiday
