Poseidon Playa

Stayed for a week in June. Hotel up a steep ramp from the road, but easily managed with plenty seats to rest on! Staff were lovely- the receptionists gave us a top floor room-what a view of the beach and along to La cala and the port. Cleaners, bar, restaurant staff etc all really pleasant-it is a mainly Spanish hotel, so if you try to speak even a little (you are in Spain after all) it is very much appreciated, and will get you far. I am a terribly picky food person, but could always find something to eat in the restaurant-the Spanish do like lukewarm food and drink, so the staff will heat it up if you ask. The pool area was just lovely, and the beach only across the road-reception will give you beach towels for a refundable deposit. Beautiful walk along to either the old town or la cala with loads of cafes on the way. Supermarkets very close for essentials (chocolate in my case) Bus stop right in front of hotel if you don't fancy walking, and taxis reasonable price. My partner got a bottle of cave and a personalised note on her birthday from the hotel, which was a lovely and much appreciated gesture. The rooms were a bit dated with few power points, but were very clean and comfortable, with wonderful air conditioning, nice sized balcony with again-that view. Poniente side quieter than Levante, but still loads to do-just realise it is not full of British bars, and is mainly Spanish entertainment. All in all a great break in a lovely hotel. Will return once the new extension to the hotel is complete.

Not bad overall but the food could be better and the entertainment was very spanish based. The location is excellant and the rooms are comfortable. The staff are amazing especially the bar staff. Overall a good break.

Beautiful hotel, very clean and in a great location (within 100-150m from the beach). Gorgeous sea views from rooms and staff were friendly. Lovely little bar that is very reasonably priced.If we were being very picky the only slight drawbacks are that the hotel is more Spanish based so language barriers can be a problem occasionally (which is expected as it is in Spain) and the dinner at the hotel was basically fish all week. But overall this is a great little hotel and would definitely reccomend.

Nice staff ,quiet area of benidorm Needs to offer a bath and shower Food very average, service staff were rude clearing tables before all at tables had finished eating Pool great Entertainment staff poor only spoke in Spanish , didn't think about other guests

Fantastic view of sea very clean friendly staff good food and because we were late arriving they had a picnic waiting for us as we missed tea only one downside was evening meal being at 8pm was a little late for us would highly recommend thou

I arrived with a few days of the Spanish winter holidays coming to a end. I was happy with the hotel, staff polite and very efficient, rooms very nice and clean, only two problems, getting off transport at hotel a very steep climb to hotel ,a struggle with our luggage, problem two was how the food changed as the Spanish left, example , steak, pork carved off the bone, chicken breasts, just a few things, the as the new influx started to arrive, the meals changed to burgers , chicken nuggets, egg and chips, and most of the food was cold. But saying that I enjoyed my stay

Pleasantly surprised with hotel. Good value hotel beside lovely beach. In the quiet old town area of Benidorm. Mostly Spanish guests. Good base for our holiday. Nice clean quiet friendly hotel in good area beside a great beach.

The poseidon playa is a great family friendly hotel,right opposite a lovely clean sandy beach.Far enough from the busy old town to be chilled out but near enough to walk into the old town even with young children.the food was really good with plenty of choice at every meal and great friendly helpful staff. We wouldn't hesitate in re visiting benidorm and would be more than happy to stop in this hotel again.

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit here for two 21st to 5th December. Staff very friendly and polite. Rooms clean and kept tidy. Didn't drink in the bar so don't know prices are like. We were half board breakfast was fried or continental dinner was a good selection of dishes.

Lovely hotel we have stayed here twice now I would recommend it it's in a great location quite or a stroll along the front to the old town nothing to complain about love the ten days we stayed the food is good lovely sun trap round the pool just a lovely place and very friendly staff

This is a great hotel where the staff are very friendly and are always cleaning .The rooms are basic but again very clean television can be changed to your own language all the rooms face the sea with fantastic views although not sure about the very lowest floors .It's a 15 to 20mminute walk to party central with shops all the way so it doesn't seem so far .I found beer tea etc to be nicer and half the price if you buy them down the town

Love this hotel. Stroll out over a road straight onto the beach. View brilliant food lovely. Different variety everyday definitely going again in 2017. Had an issue with height of room so staff sorted first floor room asap. Excellent service.
