Hotel Balcon De Europa

Stayed here in January and had a lovely few days. The room was comfortable and quiet. It also had been recently refurbished. We were half board and the food was generally very good. The staff were all friendly and helpful.

Beautiful area, plenty of interesting places. If you go to this hotel do not go half board. Evening meals for those who have paid half board are like canteen food, very small selection of starters, choices for main where limited and where pre-plated and if they came with a sauce, it was poured all over the food whether you liked the taste or not. Dessert was very basic. This is a comment from someone who experienced this hotel pre-pandemic and its sadly not the same. There are so many great places to eat close to the hotel bed and breakfast is your best option. It was noted that on more than one occasion the floor in the pool area where you shower and use the toilet facilities was cleaned with dirty water, so it smelled awful afterwards. There is no blame placed on the staff, they are only doing what they have been told and staffing is limited.

The hotel was in a beautiful setting overlooking a small harbour in a pretty village. The staff were friendly and accommodating and serving excellent food, though for a small village/town there were at least twenty other places. A beautiful sheltered beach with a ten minute pleasant walk.

It was great to be back at the hotel following the unfortunate closure due to construction works outside the hotel and beach pathway. We have stayed at the hotel many times over the past 10 years and as always the staff are very friendly, helpful, service is excellent, rooms maintained to a high standard and food is very good. We have already booked our next trip.

This is a great hotel in a perfect location on the Balcon de Europa in Nerja with great views of the Balcon and the sea. The staff were always very pleasant and helpful and the food was excellent. We will certainly be going back again.

Hotel is right on the beautiful Balcon de Europa - fabulous location beautiful views Brilliant choice and quality of breakfast. Lots of lovely bars and restaurants right on the doorstep Expect short walk from transport as it is in pedestrian area

Four star hotel with five star staff ,lovely breakfasts ,lovely evening meals, lovely clean rooms very comfortable .Centre of town well situated for all the bars and coffee shops .Lots of walks in and around nerja

Overall the hotel and staff exceeded our expectations. The food menu in the evening was well thought out with differing menus each evening, breakfast was to die for setting one up nice!y for the day. The hotel itself was clean and tidy throughout and the staff were extremely efficient and friendly.

This hotel is in a superb position on the Balcon de Nerja virtually cut into the adjoining cliff. The staff are warm, friendly and efficient. If something is wrong (not often) they fix it immediately. The place is very well managed with great attention to detail and the food is excellent. There is a buffet for breakfast and evening meal. The choice is immensely wide and the quality of the food is very good. The rooms are good with furnishings of a high standard and cleanliness is first class. One of the best hotels I have ever used.

Wonderful hotel, in a prime location, great room, amazing sea views, (room 207) great breakfast options, good varied evening meal options, would definitely recommend this hotel, it's a hidden gem, and so is Nerja, great place

Excellent hotel. Food was fabulous and the staff were brilliant. They couldn't do enough to please us. The room was very comfortable and the hotel is in a fabulous location. Would recommend this hotel. We had a great holiday.

Evening meals left a lot to be desired. Different buffet menu each night but food not always edible. Breakfast much better than evening meal. Don't go for evening meal in first hour or you'll have to wait for a table. Only 3 waiters on duty so you have to wait for tables to be clearedMain sun terrace only 36 sunbeds and packed very close together and I mean close!! Which also means you can't move them anywhere and you're virtually on top of the person laying next to you. Unbelieveably people start queueing from 9.00am for sunbeds on the tiny beach. Attendant doesn't give them out until 9.30. Approx 20 beds available and many are ripped. Plus side they are free and you get free beach towels. Swimming pool is a joke. So small it's full if there are 6 people in it. We booked a double room with sea view and the view was amazing. Room was supposed to be cleaned everyday but quite often bathroom was missed. Twice we had to ask for bathroom items such as toilet rolls to be replenished. Hotel rooms could do with major refurbishment, especially bathrooms. With this hotel you're paying for its location which is fab as the views are stunning. I have to admit we didn't complain when we were there as we mainly used the hotel as a base as we like to get out and about and eat somewhere different most nights. The resort itself is fab but hotel is at most a good 3 star.

We have just returned from a holiday to Nerja staying at this lovely hotel. The hotel location is idyllic, when we got to our lovely comfortable suite and went onto our balcony the beach and the view right outside our room took our breath away. Absolutely gorgeous! The hotel was immaculately clean, ALL the staf, cleaners, reception staff, bar and restaurant staff everyone was friendly helpful And polite. We went half board and found the food to be good. Breakfasts and evening meals were tasty well cooked and there was ample choice. We especially enjoyed the Mexican food! I cannot stress how much we enjoyed staying at the Hotel.We will definitely definately be returning
