Costa Del Sol Holidays

Show on Map

Some of Spain’s best-loved resorts, like Torremolinos, Benalmadena and Marbella, are on the Costa del Sol. With miles of sun-drenched coast and a laid-back atmosphere, it’s an ideal place for a classic beach holiday.

Beach paradise

There’s 160 km of coastline to play around with here. That means beaches of every shape and size, from the spacious stretches at Nerja and Torremolinos to quieter coves. And if you want to get active, you’ve got watersports from parasailing to wakeboarding and waterskiing.

Resorts to suit your taste

The three resorts in the centre of the Costa del Sol – Benalmadena, Torremolinos and Fuengiorola – offer everything from shimmering marinas linked with canals, to theme parks and buzzing bar-lined streets. Nerja’s scenic backdrop makes it great for nature lovers, while for a touch of glamour, head to Marbella or Puerto Banus.

Inland treats

It’s worth heading inland to explore. Ronda, a town high up in the mountains split by a huge gorge, has a pretty whitewashed old town to wander around. You’ll get some magnificent views from the bridge over the gorge.

Take your pick from our Costa del Sol holidays

Benalmadena
A mix of lively resort and whitewashed village, Benalmadena is a great place for a beach holiday.

Fuengirola
Sandy beaches, boutiques and tapas bars galore are on the menu in Fuengirola.

Marbella
With 24 beaches to enjoy, it’s no wonder Marbella is a favourite with families.

Nerja
Whitewashed buildings and beautiful scenery make Nerja an idyllic spot.

Torremolinos
Torremolinos plays by day and parties by night – non-stop fun for everyone.

Best beaches

For sheer holiday fun, the long straight stretch of Blue Flag beach at Torremolinos can’t be beaten. If you want to get away from it all, there’s the shingle Playa de Canuelo near Nerja.

Top sights

The Alhambra in Granada, a beautiful Moorish palace full of mosaics, hidden courtyards and gently playing fountains, makes a wonderful day trip.

Out and about

Make sure you make it to a waterpark. Aqualand in Torremolinos is the biggest around here, with hair-raising slides to suit adrenaline junkies as well as gentler versions for little ones.

Eating and drinking

Cool down the Costa del Sol way with some refreshing cold soup. You could try some of the white garlic soup made with almonds, or the classic Gazpacho Andaluz.

Shopping

For chic boutiques, Marbella and Puerto Banus are the places to go. Parque Miramar in Fuengirola has familiar chains like Zara, H&M and Mango, as well as cinemas and a playground.

Nightlife

Torremolinos wears the Costa del Sol nightlife crown. Head to La Nogalera in the centre of town for an array of clubs, live acts, discos and bars. The music doesn’t stop until the early hours.
