Portinatx Beach Club Hotel

We went back for a second year with rose tinted glasses as we had such a great time in 2018 with our young children now 6&10. Great entertainment team and mini club and lovely setting but this year I was a little dissatisfied with the food choice and lack of availability for drinks - being all inc for the 1st time was no different from being half board, you had to wait for waiter service even for a water refill! Soft drinks should be on tap and self service so it lessens the queue/waiting time at the bar!! Often there was a wait for a table at the main restaurant and for a drink too! I was also disappointed with the lack of sun beds round the main pool as people would ‘claim’ up to 8 at a time with towels but not use them all day!! There is a sign saying this is not allowed but NOT executed by staff removing the towels so we found our family of 4 had to put our towels on the floor to relax. The wellness centre was ok but I got fleeced in to buying some rose oil - language barrier = misunderstanding??! Maybe?! The free activities were fun and kayaking was great from the private beach. The rooms are small but we knew this from last year they could do with some storage to put cases away so not to take up all the floor space. Rooms were tidied each day but could do with a bed sheet change at least once during the week. Staff friendly and helpful. Would go again.

No complaints. Very nice hotel, food good, surroundings really pleasant, set on different levels hence a lot of steps. As a couple of retirees we were left wondering why we were given a room surrounded by young families when there were lots of empty rooms at the time of our stay in May. Wasn't too much of a problem but it could have been.

We have been to Portinax 3 times and this is the best hotel there & in a great location.However if your looking for a large hotel chain service. & food, then this is not the hotel for you.We upgraded to 1 of the 6 suites it has as the normal jnr suites were tiny at a cost of £480..Food...i will eat anything and i am not fussy but there just wasnt enough on offer..very limited.The staff are nice but there just isn't enough of them so be prepared to Q & Q & Q.Sometimes it was just as quick to go buy from the shop then all inclusive at the bar...kind of defeats the object.All in all not bad for a quiet week...paid £2800 including my upgraded room so nt cheap.Went to mexico 6 months earlier for same price and flew prem class...and no Q

Nice hotel with chalet Style rooms, not over large what kept me and daily by the staff b. The restaurant had a good choice of international foods however some meals not as hot as desired. Obtaining a sunbed in the adult areas was occasionally difficult with many people laying out towels for the day early in the morning, therether no staff manning the pool areas therefore it is a first-come first-served rat race. We booked all inclusive however the service was undesirably slow, we managed to drink at a comfortable pace however people looking for drinks as per usual all-inclusive deals will be disappointed of the slow service. We were any season however the animation team work very hard and did their best to entertain the visitors. The Great Hotel in a great location however the management need to look at some of the practices to make this a top destination.

great location, helpful and friendly staff, good food, adult only areas, choice of bars ...what more could you ask for?Really enjoyable few days in this lovely hotel. Planning to return for a longer stay.

Just home from a great 7 nights, half board. The good points - nice, quiet, modern hotel in a picturesque location. Plenty of areas to soak up the sun. The cliff bar is stunning. A short walk takes you into the lowly fishing village of Portinaxt which has 2 beaches & several chilled out bars where you can enjoy the sunset & food. Would recommend the hotel for couples & families with older children. Rooms were clean & fresh with rainfall showers & a nice small balcony. There are a lot of steps so be ready to get a good thigh workout! Entertainment every night but we weren't there for that others seemed to be enjoying it. The only let down for us was the food. Breakfast was passable (plenty of cold meats, cheeses & some cooked items). Dinner was disappointing. Pretty much the same fare every night. The cooked food bit bland & boring. Tasty sweets & again you could have a good pick at the cold meats & cheeses! Staff very friendly & attentive across the hotel. Didn't spoil our holiday though we just ate out I few nights more than we would have. We will definitely retun but only on a B&B basis.

After reading some older reviews about staff I was a little worried about this hotel but I must say it was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. I would normally go away 4 to 6 times a year all over the world and we are thinking about returning for a short break next year..

The Hotel BC Portinaxt was a very comfortable and relaxing place to stay while balancing the family / couple facilities. The hotel was perfectly located a small walk away from the main beaches of Portinaxt where we would take an afternoon stroll for some exercise or lunch. We would definitely recommend this hotel to our friends and family if they were looking to Ibiza for their vacation

Excellent for families I'd recommend and return. Only issue is transfer time from Airport. Stunning setting. Very relaxing but make the most of water activities and mountain bikes. Excellent choice of food. Friendly helpful staff. Large but layout excellent so doesn't seem too busy although it was busy at times.

A compact pretty hotel. Holiday company 4* rating but not compared to large recognised hotel chains. Staff on front desk lovely friendly and really helpful. Restaurant staff worked tirelessly and we're always welcoming and friendly too. Good selection of fresh produce daily and plenty on offer. No complaints about the food but I was there for just 6 days so may have become repetitive but compared to other all inclusive good selection and standard. In addition there was a restaurant down the cliff path near the beach if you want yo get away from mass feeding. Facilities reasonably good. Cycles for hire, tennis courts a good entertainment team which put on a different themed evening which was very enjoyable. Variety of keep fit activities supported by team and a small but adequate gym. One issue is the pool area, small and not enough sunbeds. Some arguments about this which isn't what you want on holiday. There are no life guards which surprised me as its full of families! A way to manage the chaos about beds around the pool would be to staff the area which would increase safety, and the towels could be managed from here rather than clogging up reception. On the whole the hotel was clean but my room was very sandy so I don't think it was ever swept. No change of sheets whilst I was there either. A bit if a lick and a promise clean I felt. Having said all of this knowing the negatives I would still return but with adjusted expectations.

Portinax beach hotel was brilliant! I thought the food was great, the all-inclusive wine was also very nice! The views were amazing! The local area was lovely for a run on a morning or drink on an evening. The only criticism is that everyone gets up early and puts out their towels!! We hated this & didn't join in but plonked ourselves on the decking or grass next to the pool which was fine! The exercise classes were also great fun & the kids club looked really good!
