Balansat Resort

We had a lovely holiday, the hotel was really nice, clean, we had cleaners in every day. We were self catering and had everything we needed, a toaster wasn’t working and was replaced quickly after we asked for a new one. The hotel was great for the kids, the entertainers were really good with them. The pools and play area were good, especially the splash pool for the little ones. The resort was lovely and just what we wanted for that holiday. It is very quiet so perfect for a chilled break. The beach was lovely and clean, and it was right outside the hotel. The beach felt safe and the lifeguards were on hand, my daughter cut her toe they helped and they came up a few days later to check how she was. The only negative was the reception staff in the hotel, they were rude and unhelpful but we only had to deal with them a couple of times. Overall a lovely family break.

A genuine review for a genuinely great hotel. We were lucky enough to be given a beach view that had excellent views over the beach. My only (ONLY) problem was ironically this ... I was often woken at 4/5 am that seemed like locals on the beach, that said I'd still book a beach veiw as it was worth the disturbance - it was just a shame that the Patio doors didn't stop the noise - the thick blackout curtains definitely helped to gain a extra hours sleep if needed. Pools were great and used natural water and salts. Would recommend kids that spend a lot of time in there to purchase some sea/pool type shoes from next door if spending a long time in the pool (+3 hours a day) toes will get sore - I spent around two hours a day in / out of the pools no problem, however my youngest and a lot of other kids developed sore cracked toes from excessive pool time (as to be expected - just a heads up as a few kids had to keep out for a few days to let there toes heal) ... this is simply to help people to enjoy there stay not necessarily a complaint. Excellent location... shops / lovely restaurants / beach / boat hire / Cabs and bus service to Ibiza old town / San Antonio all within minutes and around €2.90 each way ! Lovely walks - one behind the hotel is a little hard for younger kids but worth the views if you take your time and go when it's cooled a little. Equally the smaller walk opposite the hotel that has a progressively steep walk along the road/pavement over towards the caves and behind the other hotel that is higher up the cliff and provides some excellent views and around an extra 30 mins of sunshine before it sets over the forest if you need more !!! Clean rooms and friendly cleaners that greeted us most mornings. The pool bar staff were excellent and very prompt with all the food and drinks - felt like I definitely got to know some of them especially the 'chip man' never did get his name, I'm missing the chips already ! Food as some others have said is a little repetitive, *however* I'm in awe as to how they provide and cater for so many people like clockwork three times a day ! - Yes it was a little repetitive, repetitive of good quality tasty food fruit/vegetable/rice/pulses/pasta/pizza - all with variations as the days change, some really tasty desserts and endless drinks (just bring your own tea bags) ... for the 7/10 days your there you will definitely be pleased with the selection of 'repetitive' food ... I've never eaten so healthy in my life (between chips and toasties from the 'chip man') - Please don't be put off by any repetitive comments as the food is lovely for the time spent there and I sure wish I was there now rather than cooking at home. Staff in the food area are very polite and will wisk your empty plate and glass as soon as it hits the table. I watched Anita (I think she was the food manager) I pulled my glass from the machine too quickly and spilt some coke on the floor, by the time I had tried to find a cloth to mop it from the floor she had retrieved a mop and cleaned it herself (not relying on other staff that she was in charge of) ... very professional and worked extremely hard at what I could only imagine being a extremely stressful job - I definitely know a hard worker when I see one. Never had a problem with space by the pool, some of our best days were simply pool days while other days 70/30 split pool/beach and a dip in the insanely warm sea (Late Aug / Early Sept) Would recommend a bus later in the day to Ibiza town returning around 10pm to view the port area and shops, it broke our Stay up nicely. I will miss the Balasat Resort and it's welcoming staff ... I wish one day to return, Thank you for our amazing 10 days 🙂

Had an absolutely amazing time the team at balansat are fantastic and friendly and brilliant with everyone young and old , really enjoyed every minute of our time there and was sad to leave . Bit we will be back next year !

we arrived to be greeted by friendly staff. room wasn't ready but we were given a couple of keys to allow us to store luggage & get freshened up/changed in a dedicated area. we were given our all inclusive bands immediately which allowed us to go straight to the bar for drinks/snacks.we were in time for our lunch too and were really impressed with out first all inclusive meal. That opinion remained for the week. Food was varied enough with plenty choice ( i dont eat meat) a lovely italian lady cooking up fresh pasta dishes , spanish night, bellinis round the pool . snack bar food more than adequate. even the kids were full after meals so we didn't need much other than drinks. my hubby more than happy with the beer - estrella!! the entertainment team were fun, always happy. You were encouraged to take part without pressure. entertainment was on & off all day but was more geared to the kids. the birds of prey & parrot guys were great too in the evening.apartments small but clean & modern. we had a one bedroom with kids on pull out sofa in lounge area.good size balcony. air con, functional bathroom with plenty clean towels each day if you wanted. walk in shower was fantastic. pools are on the cool side. Splash pool loved by the younger kids. the adult /kids pool was too deep - wasn't a gradual increase to depth- my 6 year old could only reach the bottom right at the edge. there is an adult only pool - looks lovely & away from the noise- but didn't use so cant comment further. youngest spent hours in the evening at the little play park by the snack bar. The bonus to this resort is the lovely beach only a few metres from the hotel, plenty sunbeds to hire - we didn't as just used towel right down at the water. gentle slope into sea with a cordon round a large area for swimming which keeps you safe from pedalos & banana boats which can be about & stops drifting too far on a 'floaty' lovely fish swimming at your feet too! Be aware though this is a quiet resort area with only a few hotels and a couple of shops but does host the best seafood restaurant on the island apparently - worth a visit when its only a few metres from the hotel. book via reception for a discount we enjoyed it. easy access to Ibiza town- by bus -about 20mins Plenty excursions - not too pricey. also a tourist train up to Portinaxt. a local hippy market if you are there at the right time .if you want away from the clubs and noise of bigger resorts you will enjoy Balansat. We will return soon.

We wanted a holiday for ourselves, our children (Adults), and our Grandchildren ( aged 8, 6 & 4). The Balansat Resort Hotel was exactly what we needed.A small cove with one road in & out, our hotel was 20 yards from the beautiful Sandy beach and Crystal clear Mediterranean sea. The hotel had immaculate rooms and could accommodate the 9 of us in 3 superior adjacent suites looking out to the sea. Staff were freindly and very helpful. Three separate pool areas for adults, mixed and children's pool (which we relaxed around most of the time with our grandchildren. Food was high quality with the standard buffet style for a 3+ star all-inclusive hotel. I would honestly put the hotel at 4 star quality, and will definitely be returning.

Travelled with partner and kids 3 and 6. Rooms great, refurbished, comfy yet very little storage. Cleaners did great job but struggled to even smile let alone speak. Reception staff were a disgrace to this hotel; awful attitude and really unhelpful. The kids animation/ entertainment team worked tirelessly from morning till night and were loved by all. The lifeguard was the friendliest and happiest guy in Ibiza! The 2 drinks rule was ridiculous and I was confronted a few times about why I wanted 2 coffees and 2 waters. The food was typical for A/I we ate well at every meal. The kids splash pool was brilliant and kept both kids entertained throughout. The main pool was far too deep really and I couldn't touch bottom so couldn't really keep kids safe on inflatables. Our main issue with the hotel was the adults only area. A great pool used by a maximum of 2 adults at any time yet the kids were thrown out of main pool so that adults could play water sports! We were planning on gathering all the kids up to get them to all jump in adult pool st once but decided, whilst funny, a little irresponsible. The hotels location right on beach was great. There wasnt the stunning walks along the sea that you get in the beautiful resort of portinaxt which was disappointing. The hotel trip to the caves wass great for the views as was the glass bottom boat. All in all a great holiday. Would I come back? Possibly if the prices reduced as I think it was overpriced in comparison to say an iberostar which for same money excels in most areas.

I wasn't expecting much after a disappointing half term break last year. However this hotel was great! Staff are friendly, food was amazing. Only criticism would be that the evening entertainment could be slightly improved.

Great place for kids and young families. Also separate quiet area for adults to relax. Very clean with daily towel changes and beds made daily as well. Food excellent. Entertainment good. Staff very helpful. Nice clean beach.

The resort itself is in a beautiful,location . Beautiful beach . The hotel is in a prime location right on the edge of the beach . A few bars & restrants near by . Couldn't fault room . Food was.what you'd expect from star rating . Plenty , hot , always something to eat . All in all good value . Had a very good holiday . I have only a couple of things to say regarding this hotel . Hotel has a really nice adult pool , quiet , but the bar does not open until after 8 in the evening . Pointless ... The pools could do with better mainlanders .. Hardly saw it cleaned properly , have seen pools cleaned at other hotels . Witch takes time & effort . If you swim with goggles then you won't need me to say any more . The hotel entertainment in the evening was a joke . Unless your six years old your fine . Nothing for older children or adults . No decent professional shows , acts .. Just use the poor embarrassed animation team , who I must add work very hard .. I know these are little complaints , but if they just added a little more , then this would be an absolute cracking hotel . Would return to resort

The hotel is very clean and modern. The staff friendly and helpful. Our apartment had a view of the beach, the beach is great for young children. The apartment was very spacious, had everything you needed. Cleaned to a high standard every day, fresh towels daily also. There are three swimming pools, the children pools was great fun for our grand children, with slides etc. Plenty of sun loungers but not enough parasols or shade for young children. There is a lovely quiet adult pool. We didn't use the restaurant so can't comment. There are a few bars and restaurant around the hotel. We had a very enjoyable holiday, the hotel is in a lovely setting, quiet resort but everything you need if travelling with young children.

This resort is perfect for families with young kids. There is plenty to keep the whole family entertained and the apartments and whole complex is immaculately clean and tidy. All inclusive food options were great and my 7 and 2 yr old both found plenty of food that they liked. We would definitely go here again.
