Cala Millor Holidays

Show on Map

The liveliest resort on Majorca’s eastern coast is big with UK families looking for a beach days and fun-filled nights.

One sandy beach with dozens of bars

The big highlight of Cala Millor is the long, sheltered beach. It’s a 1.5km-long stretch of sand that’s backed by a wide promenade. Just back from the water are the bars and the restaurants – family-friendly places where you can grab a cold beer or have a quick lunch while keeping your sea view.

Watersports in the day, karaoke at night

The beach is well set-up for watersports, with scuba diving, jet-skiing and windsurfing available. Once the sun sets, the seaside bars come alive with quizzes, karaoke and live televised sport. It’s about keeping the whole family happy here, but there are late-night bars and clubs, too.

Best beaches

Head to the resort’s main beach, a long stretch of sand that’s sheltered by tree-covered headlands to the north and south. You can make yourself at home on one of the sunloungers available to rent, or pop into one of the bars and restaurants along the seaside promenade for a break from the sun and sand.

Top sights

Explore the rock formations and huge underground lake at the Caves of Drach, about 20 minutes’ drive away. Stay above ground and visit the giraffes, zebras, monkeys and elephants in the nearby safari. It’s 15 minutes in the car, and you can either drive yourself around the safari or tour the park on board a mini train.

Out and about

Go jet-skiing, scuba diving or snorkelling from the watersports centre on Cala Millor beach, or you can learn to windsurf at the dedicated school. The promenade is best enjoyed with bikes and roller-skates that are available for hire, or put pedal to the metal at the go-kart track on the edges of town. The whole family can race as there are karts for adults and kids.

Eating and drinking

You can get your home favourites at the Brit bars along the water. Steak pies, bacon butties and bangers and mash are on the menu at Winstan’s, you can enjoy an English breakfast at The Sun Deck or go for a Sunday roast at the Cheers Bar. Try some Spanish specialities at Amapola or Toni’s, two places just back from the promenade.

Pick up the essentials at supermarkets dotted around town, or find some bargains at the clothes and accessories shops along the promenade. Head to the Friday morning market in Son Servera where you’ll find ceramic pots, leather handbags and wood carvings. These little keepsakes are about 10 minutes’ drive away.

Spend laidback nights at the bars along the water. It’s definitely a lively spot, but one where all the family can spend the evening together. Expect quizzes, bingo, live sport and music from across the decades. Try Palace Q or La Havana if you want to party into the early hours – they play a mix of Spanish, UK and US pop.
