Apartments THe Koala Garden

Overall very happy with the accommodation & pool area for the week however we were disappointed with the service received having reported on 2 occasions there was no kettle in the apartment. It had still not arrived by the departure date and a sìmple check by the hotel on the equipment in each apartment prior to arrivals would avoid negative comments.

Rooms are newly refurbished and are kept pointlessly clean. By the hard working staff.the only issue we had with this complex is there isn't enough space to sit for a quiet drink at night.. block 2 is the main part so go for zone 1 for a quieter day.

A few minor issues with our room when we first arrived but these were swiftly resolved as soon as we reported them. During our stay the food was excellent, great choice at meal times. Drinks freely available. The hotel was very accommodating and helpful when I developed a back issue on the morning of our departure. Doctor was called and hotel were most kind and attentive until we departed.

Let me begin with thanks to the new management team and restaurant staff who are trying to make improvements but will face difficulties with the surrounding area in which the hotel is situated and also with what appears to be a reluctance to change in some areas. The area in which the hotel is situated has few facilities and the options to walk and view are limited. If you wish to see the sea and visit the areas local restaurants, bars and shopping it is a short inexpensive, €4-€5, taxi journey, The complex is spread over 5 areas, each with its own pool and sunbathing areas which are small with the usual sunbed, parasol problems. The hotel rooms- suites are well equiped, spacious and comfortable. The restaurant is small, efficient and well run, however the information on booking that a dress code existed was certainly incorrect. People were attending dinner in the shorts , teeshirts and flip flops they had worn to the pool and no one commented. There are two bars, one a pool bar the other a sports bar, both the same bar with a front and back serving area and using the same staff areas. All drinks are served in plastic cups as it is the pool area and the outdoor area only has seating for apprx 30 people with the same in the sports bar area. This means that unless you visit the entertainment in the evening you rs Return to your terrace/ balcony with your drinks. There is no bar area where people can sit in the evening and socialise without the entertainment. The food was mostly satisfactory with the usual all inclusive standards. The information regarding catering for dietry requiements is also misleading. Yes they cater, with reluctance on some parts and generally if it fits in with todays choices or if you just want salad and vegatables followed by ice cream. I require gluten free diet and with advance notice had difficulties aquiring food, other than stated, even when chef was asked what was suitable on the menu he seemed unphased that there were no dishes suitable for me other than vegatable and never any desserts except ice cream. I could ask for something but on the occasion I did I felt it was an 'inconvenience'. On two occassions the manager or assistant manager spoke to the kitchen regarding my food and we were given a late check out room on our departure as a gesture due to the problems. The hotel is obviously trying to upgrade but needs to work on these issues and backing from higher management is required or it will remain 3*

Adult only area of this complex for me was a bit of a let down, you have a pool area but that is all , if you require any refreshments you will have to walk over the road to find a route and cross over the pool area to access the all inclusive facility nit ideal. We asked to be move into the main hotel area after two day as your room was on the main road and the bed was so uncomfortable I did sleep for two nights no extra pillows available. Food was okay but far from what we had experienced in other all inclusive hotels before . Pool snacks are a help your self basic juice from a machine also help yourself kids are in and about this area on a regular basic so it did get a bit messy most days. Dinning area nice limited seating indoors .

We stayed in The Koala Garden Hotel for 14 nights, The hotel was in good location, but very disappointed with cleaning services, bedding had never been changed, only towels, sometimes forgot to leave toilet rolls in bath room, ants in most places, our little child was bitten by mosquitoes. However, the kids club was good, staff were nice and friendly to children, it would be better if mini disco could last a little longer in the evening time. We had all inclusive service, meals are good with variety, we had good time any way !!

I came here on holiday alone and was pleasantly surprised. This resort caters for everyone to younger people, couples , families, individuals like me. There is entertainment if you want it or you can just relax at pool areas in different parts. Hotel is clean, modern. Staff always consistently friendly and helpful, work very hard to please everyone and did not go unnoticed. Great variety of food and drinks and would go back anytime, absolutely loved it!
