Bull Reina Isabel & Spa

This hotel is a pleasure to stay in and the staff were outstanding. I would have liked more English tv channels but the weather was glorious so we were out and about most of the time. We decided to book half board and we weren't disappointed. Breakfast was good with a lot to choose from plus an omelette station with choice of filling and as much fruit juice, tea or coffee as you wish. The evening meal was good also with lots of dishes to choose from, my only criticism was that sometimes the food could have been a bit warmer. All in all I found the half board option was good value for money and very convenient to be able to pop down and eat ASAP rather than to go hunting for a good restaurant at double the price

I cannot fault this hotel. The staff here are amazing. I would say they go out of their way to make your stay perfect, but they seem to do it because they enjoy and take pride in being smiley, helpful, kind, efficient. Maybe it's a Canarian thing, as almost everyone we met on the island was super-helpful, even when we couldn't understand each other. Watching the restaurant manager and the staff at a busy breakfast is like watching a conductor and his orchestra... very impressive! One day we shall return!

Highly recommend this hotel. Good service excellent staff. Nice breakfast. Great location. Totally understand why people staying at this hotel every year. We definitely come back again in the future. Lovely clean hotel overlooking the beach & sea. All staff were very helpful throughout the hotel. Booked half board & pleasantly surprised at quality & choice of food at both breakfast & dinner - including fresh food cooked at the grill to order. Nice walks along the prom after dinner.

This hotel is in a perfect location in the city but right on the promenade of Playa de la Canteras. The staff are very attentive and we found nothing was too much trouble. Our room had a town view which we were very happy with and the level of comfort and cleanliness was very good. The bathroom had a large walk in shower which suited us. The food is buffet style and very varied. We were extremely happy with our stay and would recommend this hotel.

Was a perfect situation on the beach with 4 star luxury made our stay very special. Staff were very conscientious and could not do enough to make our stay relaxing. Breakfast was very good and well managed even in busy times. Spa facilities were great and a real bonus. My husband has not stopped talking about how much he enjoyed it and we hope to repeat the experience again soon.

From the moment we arrived we felt valued. The accommodation is lovely. The restaurant excellent and very efficient. Food superb. Great location, close to beach, port and great shops within walking distance. Lovely spa. Staff very friendly.

This was our second visit to this hotel and we were pleased we had returned. The staff at the hotel were very helpful and friendly. Food and selection for Breakfast and Dinner were very good good.The gala dinner for Christmas was excellent.

Stayed for a week to celebrate my birthday. The hotel is right on the beach with the harbour and cruise ships about 5 minutes walk away. The staff at the hotel were amazing. They were always polite and cheerful and even sent a bottle of wine to our room with birthday wishes. The pool is on the roof and lovely in the sun. Have jets of water all around into the pool which was a bit annoying. The spa is great and free - hydrotherapy pool, flotation tank, sauna, Turkish steam room, salt room. All fantastic. The food was ok. I am not a huge fan of buffet food, but this was good. Everything was hot and topped up regularly. Every night there was different meats and fish being cooked to your liking. Breakfast was amazing with fresh omeletes and fried eggs being cooked to your taste or you could get scrambled eggs etc from the buffet section. Fresh orange juice was amazing. Coffee was always a little on the luke wam side, but I have a tin throat so may be fine for others. They put up the Christmas tree while we were there and the hotel looked very festive. Cannot recommend this hotel enough. Would definitely go back.

We stayed 4 nights at the Reina Isabel in November in a sea view room. The Hotel is fantastic, the rooms, service and quality of the food are excellent. The position of the Hotel is excellent directly onto the pedestrian walkway and fantastic Las Canteras Beach.

This was our second visit - a week on half board. The staff here are welcoming and friendly- reception , restaurants and cleaning. We had a seaview room- we were on a lower level -so we didn't actually see the prom of Las Canteras beach , as the bulk of these rooms are recessed well back and 'blinkered on each side by other big buildings.Also our balcony only got sun in the evening around dinner time. Last stay we had a room on the town side-though obviously noisier it had the benefit of being sunny most of the day. There was a long list of tv channels in the room brochure, but despite retuning I could only find six, none English. There was no kettle / cups , but there was a fridge and glasses , and safe. Bathroom lovely. Last time we used the spa a lot , but on this visit the salt pool was non-functioning , as well as one of the Jacuzzi seats in the pool. Cosmetically , areas of rust and damp are beginning to show. So a little disappointing. Buffets for breakfast and dinner - food generally very good - plenty choice and service very friendly.Wine prices very reasonable. Can be busy around 8pm, but always found a free table for 2. Bread and pastries very fresh. We had a birthday meal in the Summum restaurant up on the roof, spectacular sunset views of promenade and towards Tenerife. Came to 80 Euros, Food excellent , but sadly the experience was let down overall as we were treated to a cacophony of competeing noise from the Summums own piped music, the louds blues singer in the nearby bar , and another diner watching football on ipad at what must have been full volume. In addition the staff were communicating by more or less shouting across the restaurant to each other. So it was far from relaxing , and it was a bit of a relief to depart. The Marina café at the prom entrance is very good , reasonably priced , and a great place to watch the world go by.Service very good too. The hotel itself is maintained to high standard , very clean, and the gardens tended well.The décor and ambience in the public areas will probably seem a bit oldfashioned to some, but we like it. As for Las palmas - good for shopping and sunbathing , though most mornings were cloudy, the sun not breaking through til noonish usually. We went on trips using the cheap and frequent public busses from Catalina bus station. There are more islan services from San Telmo at the old town- to get there take a number 12 yellow bus from the town bus stops at Catalina square - 1.40 Euros.

The swimming pool, Fiesta Bar and food were excellent. The only downside was the decoration of the bedrooms. The romm we stayed in 125 was large with a patio that was large enough to accommodate 2 sun beds together with a table and chairs but the furniture and decorations were 1980's and needed upgrading. The room cleaning was not as thorough as expected as there were lots of dust around the fridge and floors. Clean glasses were not always provided. The rooms that faced the city were small and cramped. That said the staff were very friendly and very helpful. The adjoining beach was brilliant.

Service, Rooms, Facilities, Food and especially the staff are excellent year and have booked a further 7 weeks in 2016 and 2017. We have stayed here twice in the last eighteen months and would only suggest they find a way to tip bar staff and others
