It might not be the largest resort but there is plenty to do in Baska Voda. There’s a nature park nearby, and plenty of opportunities for day trips to the many neighbouring towns. There’s also a sprinkling of pretty churches that are well worth a visit, too.
As the suns tucks behind the horizon, the warm ambient glow of local bars illuminate your evening adventures here. The bars offer a refreshing mix of exotic cocktails and chilled beverages in a lively and sociable environment. There are also plenty of restaurants offering a selection of international flavours.
Baska Voda, Split Area
Baska Voda is a hub of nightlife come sunset, and the beach is lined with plenty of bars and restaurants whatever your taste. The Matroska restaurant and wine bar on the end of the harbour serves huge portions of seafood at great prices - the tuna steak is highly praised. Or try the rustic King Restaurant, which does a fantastic fish platter.
Baska Voda, Split Area
Originally a farming and fishing town, Baska Voda attracts thousands of tourists each year. The pine forests and sandy beaches are protected spaces, while the well-preserved ruins dotted around the town date back as far as the first century. Visit the churches of St Lawrence and St Nicholas for some fine examples of Dalmatian rural architecture.
Baska Voda, Split Area
This Baroque church is a fantastic example of Dalmatian architecture, and has been beautifully preserved since it was founded in 1750. It was built on the foundations of an unknown ancient building, and although you cannot enter the church, it's worth taking some time out of your day to admire the building's exterior.
