A relaxed seaside with cosy coves, Playa Es Cana is completely gorgeous and every bit a top beach pick. The working harbour’s overlooked by palm trees, beach bars and great-value, waterfront restaurants serving fresh fish and tapas – exactly what you want in this more slow-paced part of the island.

Get bartering

Es Cana is home to the island’s largest hippy market. Punta Arabi, which is open every Wednesday, started in 1973 and now attracts 12-14,000 visitors every week. Get there early to get the best of what’s on offer.

Best beaches

If you’re up early enough (or late enough), watch the spectacular sunrise over Es Cana Beach. The beach itself is the longest in Ibiza, so you’re spoilt for choice when it comes to where to lay your towel. Or head over to Cala Nova Beach, with its wide curve of golden sand and beautiful scenery.
