Medieval Dubrovnik

The Old Town lies in the south of the city on the Dalmatian coast, with Babin Kuk to the north and Lapad right in the centre. The medieval walled city was granted World Heritage status in 1979 and still holds it to this day. After one glance, you’ll easily see why.

Attractions that are centuries old

One of the most picturesque churches in the Old Town is oddly also one of the most obscure, and doesn’t get as busy as some of the more well-known attractions – a real bonus. The Church of St Ignatius of Loyola lies at the back of the market square, waiting to be discovered.

A welcome beach break

If you need some time out in the rays, then the best pick is Banje Beach – and it’s a total suntrap. While you’re there, you’ll have the option of treating yourself to a full-body massage, though there are loads of sun beds and parasols available for rent.
