Old and new
Lively Limassol is the biggest resort on the island, and it’s a total melting pot – part traditional Cypriot town, part fun-fuelled, modern resort. By day, you can explore the ruins of a Roman amphitheatre, or scale the 16th century castle, before hitting the shops on a bustling high street.
Acres of golden sand
The town centre’s flanked by curving beaches with Blue Flag status. Dasoudi is the attention-grabbing stretch in the middle, with an almost-horizontal shelf of sand and warm, shallow waves. It links up along a palm-lined seafront, where you can grab a bite to eat or just watch the sunset over a cocktail.
