Authentic days out

You won’t get more traditional than this resort. It’s smack bang between olive groves, with a wide main beach to draw you to the shore. As for in town, classic Greek tavernas serve mouth-watering meals day and night. Savvy shopper? Seek out souvenirs and knick-knacks to take home.

Get out and about

Just over 20km from Chania, you’ll have good transport links in Kolymbari. Chania is the island’s second-largest city and offers all sorts of cultural treasures. Make sure you wander around the Venetian harbour, then take a look at the museums and markets dotted about in the centre.
