Beaches galore

Kos’s coastline covers 290 kilometres, plenty of which is blanketed by beach. Soft sands, bar-backed promenades, hidden coves – this little island has the lot. The scenery here is what dreams are made of at resorts such as Kardamena and Kefalos where the twinkling turquoise waters and white sand are destined to amaze.

Glimpse into the past

Away from the main resorts you’ll find Kos Town and further afield there are acres of unspoilt countryside, peppered with quaint villages that have hardly changed in centuries. Some of the island’s most famous historic sites are even older – the Asklepieion, Hippocrates’ ancient hospital, dates from 357 BC.

Gorgeous gastronomy

Enjoy a roll call of traditional tavernas serving up Greek feasts in Kos Town. You can tuck into everything from fresh fish to rich, meaty moussaka. And if you can find the room, follow up the main course with a sweet baklava pastry. Delicious!
