Arco

Arco holidays

Just a bus ride from Lake Garda, Arco is a breath of fresh air. Literally. Tucked into lush mountains, it’s known as ‘Nizza del Trentino’ or ‘natural clinic’. With a charming mish mash of buildings, and the castle set high above the town on a cliff, it’s as beautiful as it is good for the soul.

Visit the castle

The muse of artist Albrecht Dürer, and so many visitors, Arco Castle is a beauty. It sits on a sheer cliff high above the town, and Lake Garda offers a spectacular backdrop for the fortress. Once you’ve been to the top, head further down to visit the lower Palace where you can see 14th-century frescoes.

Varone Waterfalls

Not far from Arco are the Varone Waterfalls. With paths carved through the caves, you can head out on a tour through the spectacular caverns, and see waterfalls cascading through them. After all that, head outside and explore the colourful botanic gardens.
