Toscolano Maderno

Toscolano Maderno holidays

This terracotta-topped town overlooks the west side of the mighty lake. Ancient churches, grand town squares and breathtaking views come as standard. It’s a sporty resort for sailors and bikers, but you’ll have plenty just to stare at if you’re planning on doing nothing but chilling out and kicking back.

On the agenda

Sanctuaries, botanical gardens, Roman villa remains even with pretty mosaics intact – take your pick of stunning features or see them all. The blissful beaches show off the sunbathing opportunities of Lake Garda. They’re stony and pebbly, but really scenic. Why not wander along the picturesque promenade, too?

Tailor-make it

Swing by for market day, make use of the pretty park, or check out the golf course. Toscolano Maderno has more going on beneath the surface, but stay on dry land and go and see where wine and oil are produced. Don’t pass up a cold after-dark tipple in the lounge bars.
