Costa Blanca

Costa Blanca holidays

Soft, sandy beaches stretch around 200 kilometres along Spain’s ‘White Coast’. Resorts like Benidorm – the good-times magnet with a busy town and all-lit-up after-dark scene – and the old fishing village of Calpe are just part of the fun. Think traditional towns and lapping waves, and you won’t be disappointed.

Stunning coast

The Costa Blanca’s coastline is utterly gorgeous, with never-ending beaches, towering cliffs and tucked-away coves. A little way inland, you’ve got mountains and pine forests, plus the salt marshes that draw in flocks of flamingos and other curious birds. It’s a glorious wild shoreline.

Resorts for everyone

Classic Spanish villages dotted across the Costa Blanca all have their own character. Take Benidorm – it’s the biggest and best-known resort in the area, totally teeming with life, and couldn’t scream better value if it tried. Albir is a little more laid-back, while Calpe’s all about authentic España.

Vibrant cities

Alicante should be high on your list. Take advantage of the photo opportunities sweeping all the way from up on the hillside to down in the city. Don’t miss the covered markets or golden beaches. Stylish Valencia, with its parks and pretty old town, makes for a great day trip.

Calpe

The core of the Costa Blanca, the former fishing village of Calpe is a hit with holidaymakers who like a dose of history with their beach-based relaxation.

Albir

Ideal for sun-seekers who enjoy a relaxed pace, Albir is the one for seaside splendour with a bit of an edge.

Altea

North of Alicante, this gem put itself on the map back in the 1950s. Still shining today, you’ll be bowled over by its verdant views and stretching valleys – not to mention its unsurprisingly brilliant beaches.

Jalon Valley

Pinky-purple almond blossom trees, olive and orange groves, and lush vineyards make up this glorious hilly landscape.

Javea

Nestled between two headlands, this photogenic resort was originally a port used to source fish and minerals. Now, it’s got bags of charm and pulls in people looking for a go-slow retreat.

Oliva

Small, minimalistic, understated: that’s just about the size of it.

Denia

Dusting the coastline with its bold-coloured buildings and crowned by a fairytale castle, the animated port city of Dénia promises nothing but magic for your next getaway.

Pinar de Campoverde

You’ll find the pretty little village of Pinar de Campoverde snuggled inland, just below the Sierra de Escalona mountain range.

Beaches

Whether you’re a relaxer or a fun seeker, Costa Blanca’s beaches have something for all. Check out the water sports on Benidorm’s Blue Flag-awarded beach or head to Alicante for 7km of soft golden sand. Calpe’s the place to be if you’re looking for a lively promenade, and this one’s packed with bars, restaurants and shops.
