Take a wander through time
Presiding over Torroella de Montgri, 13th-century Castell de Montgrí is the town’s star attraction. But it’s not the only slice of history here – wander the old town and you’ll see it shows off its Roman roots, with two main streets meeting at an arcade-lined square.
The coast is calling
Motor to the dazzling seafront at L’Estartit. Here you can plonk down on the wide sandy bay and simply soak up the sunshine or you can head out for an aquatic adventure. The stunning Medes Islands are one of the best snorkelling and diving spots in Spain, with colourful marine life and tunnels to see.
