Pretty port city
Cartagena, upon first glance, is a complex network of sand-coloured historic architecture, with a sea wall, museums, Roman buildings and an ornate town hall. There’s certainly a modern edge mixed with preserved history – there’s even a whale’s tail sculpture, showing off some local art! It’s simply unique.
A true taste
There are mountain ranges, on-the-Med islets, and the salty lagoons of Mar Menor to get acquainted with here. So keep your eyes peeled for falcons and eagles! Hike the hills by day and go gourmet by night – think paella, fresh fish, casseroles, and a coffee made with condensed milk, cinnamon and lemon peel.
