Mon Repos Palace Art Hotel

The hotel is tired and dated, the bathrooms have not been updated since being built. I did not expect a bathtub and plastic shower curtain in the 21st century at a supposed 4-star hotel. The shower head is on a slider rail, the water was never above warm most of the 10 days it was cold. Water never stayed in the washbasin, several other guests we spoke with complained of the same issues and reporting it to the management achieved nothing, just mealy-mouthed words. Almost forgot the partition walls are paper thin and you can hear everything from the adjoining rooms. It is a very tired hotel in need of investment, fortunately the majority of the employees work hard to keep the customers satisfied. On the plus side there is a regular local bus to Corfu town from just around the corner as getting parked can be an issue in town even in October. It is about a 20-minute walk for anyone who is reasonably fit along the sea front to the town. I would not return to this hotel

We had a week in the Mon Repos Palace and can thoroughly recommend it. The location is around the bay around 1.5k from the town centre. Along the way there are a number of tavernas and bars, which are very reasonable and serve good food and drinks. The hotel was very comfortable and the rooms were smallish but adequate. There is only a small swimming pool and very few beds at the hotel which got taken early each day. However, just around the road is a fabulous beach village. Sunbeds and parasols cost 10 euro per day for 2. You also get a bottle of water free. In the village you can relax on the beach, by the sea, buy a drink or get some lunch. Fabulous! Breakfast was really comprehensive and delicious. We had half board and the evening buffet served varied food, both local and international. The hotel is minutes from the airport so transfers are really quick. Rally enjoyed our stay

Had great expectations after reading other reviews. Felt I was at a different hotel ! Room was small - dont know how 2 people would manage in the space, view was over a derelict building. Position of hotel ( on a main road ) meant it was noisy. Staff in hotel were mixed - female staff were friendly and pleasant but male staff were aloof and arrogant, including the managers Felt totally invisible most of the time time which is not pleasant when you are on your own. Food in hotel was also mixed - a l a carte meals were good but evening meal for half board was hugely disappointing. Would recommend b and b only. Overall not a great holiday - only plus point was weather which was perfect !

A very nice, tradi tional style hotel within walking distance of Corfu town. Very good standards of service , a good range of food with something for just about any one. Very impressed with room service, bed linen and towels changed frequently, and tea and coffee making facilities topped up daily. All the staff are very pleasant and extremely helpfull. If Ihad to provide a small niggle, it is that due to the relatively smallsize of the pool, it results in a very limited number of pool side beds. Oh and the entertainment is of a high standard, very professional artists every evening.

Beautiful looking hotel - room was a twin on the 3rd floor(we had emailed for a floor higher than first and they delivered so very happy with that). Room was ok..bathroom looking a little tired but clean. Had a sea view so over the bar area so music loud but didnt bother us at all. Staff very very helpful - I have gluten/wheat free thing going on (annoyingly!) but once mentioned the chef came out and pointed to food I could eat and food I couldnt and also brought me food like bread and desserts to our table so I could enjoy my food - I appreciated that immensely and told him so. Live music every night traditional Greek or Jazz so nice variation. Want to return soon as hotel in quiet area of Corfu about 20 - 25 mins stroll to Corfu town in tree lined pathway if you dont want to stroll along the coast in the sunshine. We stayed B & B but ate the buffet in the evenings 15 Euro's each but good value also had THE most amazing steak from the a la carte menu. Would thoroughly recommend a stay here its adults only so no children running about..pool is small and you have to be quick to get a bed (looking at you Germany haha) but did swim there a couple of days when they werent quick enough! Overall fab stay..only a week not long enough. Definitely will be back.

The location of this hotel is excellent right on the sea front with wonderful views. The breakfast choice is the best we have had at a hotel but the cooked food could have been hotter. All of the staff are excellent. It is a pleasant 20 mins walk around the bay to Corfu town but there is a bus stop right outside of the hotel if you don't fancy the walk.

We returned to the Mon Repos after our wonderful holiday there at the same time last year and had the same great welcome and experiences. Great breakfast choices, fabulous sunbathing facilities just opposite, with access into the crystal sea. I love that Corfu town is not a 'holiday resort' per se, but has people holidaying as well as people who live and work there. Its great to see the kids playing football on the grass adjacent to one or two of the tavernas. The views from the Mon Repos are amazing. Try and find the amazing beach on the Mon Repos Estate, previously used by the Greek Royal Family. Nautilus nearby is a stylish place for a drink and tapas style snacks. There is a current problem with rubbish disposal but I heard that this was due to be solved shortly in resort.

Hotel was situated on the outskirts of Corfu Town with panoramic views. We stayed on the 3rd floor with a sea view, room was of a good size with very comfy beds the standard of the room was very good. The food in the hotel was of a very high standard, it was lovely to eat outside and listen to the entertainment at night. The staff in the hotel were excellent they couldn't do enough for you. I would have no hesitation in recommending the Mon Repo Palace, it is one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in and we throughly enjoyed our time there.

Clean, modern lines on the outside, slightly quirky art decor teatment on the inside. Rooms not overlarge, but comfortable. Bed king size and supportive. Towels and sheets changed regularly and spotlessly clean. Some rooms overlook a back street and this lets them down. Overall the hotel is spotlessly clean with a very friendly and accommodating staff. Swimming pool small and runs alongside a street with very little privacy. Food generally good, but more European than Greek. Overall well worth the visit. Entertainment on most nights was worth watching.

Lovely adults only hotel. Good location across road from small shingle beach with fantastic views across bay towards old fort. About 2km from centre of Corfu with local buses every 20 minutes or just over 30 minutes walk to centre. Excellent choice of food at breakfast. We only booked on B&B basis and intended to eat out at nights but hotel dinner was so good we mostly used hotel restaurant in the evenings as they were doing offers for 7 euros each per night which was better value than nearby tavernas for 3 courses of excellent quality self service food on offer. Evening entertainment to a high standard with good musicians and vocals but acts repeated every 5 nights or so. Travel tip - buy 5 euro local 'all day' bus ticket for blue city buses which travel out about 15 kms to the local resorts. For further afield use 'green buses' also excellent value. If you like lounging around a large swimming pool with a large patio and loads of sun beds then this hotel probably isn't for you as the pool is more of a plunge pool with limited sun bathing area but you can see this from web site pictures.
