Summery Hotel

Hotel Summery is in a great position with a supermarket nearby and the square with plenty of bars and restaurants only a 10 minute walk. The pool is clean with day beds and sun loungers, there are also loungers and chairs/tables positioned in the surrounding garden areas which gives a really nice atmosphere. There is a bar with excellent waitress service and snacks available daily. The sea is just beyond the pool with loungers available if you prefer the beach which is also clean and safe. Breakfast is good although you have to queue to have the food served which is rather "clunky". The room had a nice balcony with a great view, air conditioning worked when you were in the room which was fine. The electric shutter on the balcony doors was adjustable for the light. There is a safe and fridge which are handy. The bathroom is small and the shower exceptionally so, it desperately needed a refurb but was spotlessly clean. The communal areas inside and out are really nicely presented. By far the best part of the hotel are the staff who were always polite, helpful and go above and beyond, particularly Dina who is an absolute gem. We enjoyed the BBQ night and dancing. Overall we loved it for the people, the authenticity and the setting.If you want a fancy, soulless resort hotel this is not the place for you.

Lovely gardens and pool right on the beach - good range of snacks and drinks available poolside. Unspoilt area with good choice of restaurants in easy walking distance. Good value for money small scale hotel with very friendly helpful staff. Very easy to catch ferry to Argostoli to see turtles, shops etc.

nice hotel the rooms little small but ok bed to hard for me the staff were great the pool and pool bar and gardens were ok only a short walk to town plenty places to eat and the trip on the ferry was good

Well done Titika and all at the Summery and Lixouri. Another lovely, relaxing stay and every time we come you have added to our comfort (kettles and mugs in rooms). We certainly couldn’t pick a better place to stay. Thank you all

A Jet2 grading of 2* which for 2020 is moving to 3* which is more fitting - from entering to leaving the staff worked to know us - the location is near perfect and rooms if known can be chosen. We had been before and we are going again.

Lovely Hotel in ideal location next to beach. The hotel is family run and the staff are very friendly. To a good cleaning standard - towels changed every day. Enjoyed the holiday so much will be returning there next year..

Having visited the Summery Hotel a number of times, it just seems to get better and better. The owners and staff are always friendly and forthcoming with advice about the island and the local area, nothing is too much trouble for them. The food is great with a varied menu each day and very competitively priced, if you want a lazy day, you don't need to leave the hotel at all. The rooms are pretty basic but always clean, we had a great sea view.

Stayed here with my wife in July 2016. We have often stayed in Kefalonia and had been across to Lixouri on the ferry. So we knew roughly where hotel was located. Great location with our room overlooking the bay. Very friendly staff, walking distance of bars and restaurants and ferry. We will go back again!

We booked this hotel as Trip Advisor revues were almost 100% good and were not disappointed. The hotel was clean and comfortable, close to excellent restaurants and all the staff were great from reception through to housekeeping. The view from our poolside room on the second floor was stunning and the bed was very comfortable.

Nice clean family run hotel. Friendly staff especially Anna (makes a good Pina Colada). The room was always cleaned to a high standard. Plenty of sun loungers by the pool no need to make a run for them in the morning! In short good honest people highly recommended.

Though the hotel was a little "tired" we knew what to expect. It was clean and the staff were fantastic, though breakfast whilst plentiful was "budget", except the Greek yoghurt and honey. We did experience 4 minor earth tremors but the brochure makes no mention of this being a regular occurence. It should not put you off but Jet2 and all other travel Co.s should give the whole story.

Originally when we arrived we were given a room which was a little small & in need of updating. We asked about changing rooms,and we were told if we could wait a day or 2 as it was the busiest time of the year for the hotel, it would be sorted. We were allocated a different room a couple of days later which was better for us and still had the great sea view. All the staff in the Hotel were very friendly, polite and really helpful.

We have just returned from 2weeks at this lovely hotel. Small, friendly and relaxed. We wanted a chilled out holiday and that's what we had. Rooms are fairly basic but spotlesslh clean, with fridge, hairdryer and free aircon and wi fi. Nothing is too much trouble, Maria, Anna and Anastasia work tirelessly to look after everyone. Hotel in on beach with a short,flat walk to some lovely bars and restaurants. Breakfast at the hotel perfectly adequate. There is a nice assortment of meals for lunch, huge portions very reasonably priced. Highly recommend for adults, not so much to do for children and younger people. We will be back.

A really friendly hotel, the staff were very helpful. The room was cleaned and towels and bedding changed regularly. Down side, the room was very small and need of updating! The location was good, it was actually on the beach, it's a shame we didn't use the beach as it was full of seaweed.

This hotel may be only 2 star but what it lacks in stars, it's service friendliness, kindness and evident hard work of Titika and the team merits 5stars all the way. Nothing was too much trouble , hotel clean comfortable and the service any time night or day excelled Our room was cleaned every morning before 10 30 ,clean fresh towels and bedding every day The friendliness and willingness to help was unsurpassed. Hotel is a peaceful haven a real find, pool area peaceful clean and well maintained. Bar serving good food in plentiful supply, and drinks very well priced. Titika herself strives to ensure everyone is looked after, kindest personified! And the friendly welcome and offer of help is given freely with a real eagerness to help. If you want sophisticated then ok. This is not for you, but I would have this any day over any 5star hotel. One recent reviewer decided to trash this hotel after one night, which devastated the staff. It was. Most unfair to judge in that manner indeed. Lixouri itself is unspoiled, beautiful scenery, and weather to match. It was our first time there and won't be our last.
