Trapezaki Village

Did not like basement apartment it was smelly and damp was growing up the walls,paper in the bedroom was peeling off. When sitting out on Terrence all we could see was a blank wall not exactly a nice view when having breakfast outside. Was not very pleased with accommodation at all. Had to pay extra money to have air conditioning on and to use the safe, did not expect that. Also had an infestation of ants in apartment whilst we were there.

Sea kayaking, boat trips, snorkelling, dolphin/turtle spotting, Robola wine tasting, sightseeing were all fantastic on beautiful Kefalonia but what made the holiday was the brilliant Trapezaki Village, consisting of twelve 1-bed apts, good-sized pool, with bar for drinks/snacks and hosted by the most accommodating manager Harry. Three tavernas serving good food and well stocked mini-market within 5min walk; beautiful sandy beaches of Trapezaki and Kanali within 15 min walk down and 25min back up. For more adventurous, Lourdas beach has more amenities and is 40min walk on road via several restaurants, mini markets and bakery. With Mt Ainos on one side & crystal clear Med on the other Trapezaki Village provides an idyllic family vacation.

This was an ideal base for a relaxing family holiday. The apartments were clean, the kitchen well equipped. The pool and other communal areas were well maintained with a pool bar open until 7.30pm. The pool area was seldom busy. Harry, the owner was very welcoming and approachable. nothing was too much trouble. It would be advisable to hire a car to explore the island as the apartments are located in a semi rural area.

Great tranquil location with excellent facilities. Flat was well equipped and had plenty of utensils, pans etc for self catering. There was a 4 ring cooker, and even a full oven. Pool and poolside fantastic and kept scrupulously clean. Harry the owner very helpful and friendly. Couple of lovely beaches within 40 mins walking distance. Whole holiday was fantastic.

The villas are quite remotely situated but are within walking distance of a small supermarket & several tavernas. However, if stopping for two weeks I would recommend having your own transport unless you're happy just to stay by the pool or like a reasonable walk to the beaches. They are kept very clean & have a lovely pool but the pool bar was not open at all during our stay. This didn't cause a problem though as you could bring your own refreshments. We like to eat in occasionally & it was nice to have an oven in the room as well as the cooker rings. Overall I would recommend to others as long as you are looking for good basic facilities & don't mind a walk.

Bad location, nothing there only 3restaurants within walking distance,very dangerous road, no pavements. There is no pool bar and the restaurants don't open until the evening,only hiring a car made our holiday bearable

We wanted a quiet week away before a big holiday in August. This place was great. Nothing but peace and quiet ! Some great restaurants about and several very good supermarkets. The beaches are a bit of a long walk but lazing by the very nice pool was ok. They do need to get WI FI sorted to the rooms though as this was a pain not having it to hand. Great place though, will be going again definitely.
