Il Torrione Museum

Il Torrione Museum

The Il Torrione Museum was built as a water tower in 1480 to defend the island from invaders. But it became the home and studio of the sculptor, artist and poet Giovanni Maltese, until his death in 1913. Today you can see a permanent exhibition of his work downstairs and work from local artists upstairs.
