Diocletian's Palace

Diocletian's Palace

This gigantic structure feels more like a fortress than a palace, and encompasses almost half of the old town and city centre of Split. It’s a Roman ruin that has been built on over the centuries and now holds lots of little bars, restaurants and shops. There are about 220 buildings within the palace boundaries.
