One of Europe’s largest wildlife parks, Loro Parque is a great day out for young and old, and an absolute must for animal lovers. You’ll get to see everything from parrots to penguins. The park is also a sanctuary for endangered species, so get ready to be bowled over by the wonder of nature.
Up close and personal
Enjoy an immersive bat exhibition which lets you meet these mysterious flying mammals, which live mainly in caves, crevices and hollow trees. Take a unique look at how these nocturnal creatures behave from inside their habitat and learn intriguing facts about this fascinating species.
Loro Parque has been caring for parrots for over 40 years, and they now have the world’s largest collection of these colourful birds. Wander through the rope bridges of the Katandra Treetops and you’ll see an array of vibrant parrots soaring over your head. There are parrot shows, a parrot museum and a cute baby parrot station too.
Imagine sharks and stingrays gliding gracefully around you as you’re submerged beneath more than a million litres of seawater… that’s what to expect at the Loro Parque Aquarium! There are hundreds of bright tropical fish too. Don’t forget to gaze in wonder at white tigers, laugh at the antics of Planet Penguin, and check out the new Angolan lions.
