The Views Oasis

Sun beds could have been cleaner. We did not see these been washed down at anytime. Rooms were clean and staff very pleasant and helpful. Food could have been hotter maybe need to revise how food is kept hot!

First of all, this was our first holiday with Jet 2. We were very impressed! Everyone from Jet 2 were excellent right through from our first contact at Birmingham airport until we arrived back. We chose the Four views oasis because it had a waterfront promenade which was a lovely stroll. The reception staff were very helpful but because there was no paper information sheets because of the virus we were drowned with information at check in. We chose the superior room package, the room was lovely, a nice three seat settee but no dressing robes provided, but we had access to the superior lounge which was to give us soft drinks, coffee and tea, biscuits,cakes newspapers and magazines with what we thought would be a lovely place to sit and watch the world go by. It was more like a works canteen with no view, we never saw anyone in. The soft drinks were fine, but the coffee machine only worked when it felt like it, NO cakes,biscuits, magazines or newspapers. Very disappointing. The food in the dining room was buffet and very good, but why a four star hotel does not have a dress code is hard to understand.It is always the men that think they can come dressed for the beach and let their family down. The transport to Funchal worked well, but a bus stop right outside was a good alternative. Overall we enjoyed our stay, it was our first trip back to Madeira for 6 years and it was lovely to see the sights again.

Wonderful hotel with great staff. Situated on a flat promenade for those with mobility issues which allows a walk of about a 1/2 mile either way when desired. Food of very good quality and choice, room was excellent with a lovely sea view. Pool area clean and large with plenty of loungers and a pool snack bar/restaurant for your convenience. I would definitely book to go back here again.

Staff very friendly and helpful, we had our room upgraded for no extra cost just because they were quiet. Night time entertainment, spa and rooms cleaned daily. Peaceful area, with shuttle bus into Funchal lots of restaurants locally and a lovely bakery as well as access to local buses.

A really lovely hotel,staff very helpful and friendly.The area is quite hilly so anyone with walking difficulties it may not be suitable.The hotel has a free shuttle bus to Funchal a few times a day and that is quite flat.I would definitely go back to this hotel,highly recommend it.

This hotel was excellent for its food, friendliness, cleanliness and general upkeep of the grounds. All staff appeared to work well as a team. It was an international hotel, so we met many other friendly Europeans.

unintrusive & just right for us ... hired a car, drive around and walked a lot .. quiet with friendly staff .. great food with lots of choice .. might not suit those seeking bars clubs and partys bit we loved it....

Four seasons hotel is a well run establishment. The staff are all friendly and very helpful. The pool area is good. The breakfasts were excellent with a huge variety of choices to suit all tastes. We liked the location, being approx. 6km outside Funchal. The bus ride into the capital cheap, and exciting, who knew F1 drivers drove buses in their spare time. My only criticisms of the hotel relate to the decor and upkeep. The restaurant looks a bit tired and needs a spruce up. Our room was generously proportioned, however we needed the sink repaired and the curtains were holed and had a rip in them. The bed was too hard for our liking, but others would no doubt be happy.

The hotel was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. However the food was of a poor standard, was often not warm and was repetitive. We had an al la carte night which was actually a set dinner menu, sadly it wasn’t any better! The alcohol included on the all inclusive deal was pretty awfu, the “gin” was undrinkable and there was no bourbon alternative, my partner had “whiskey” which tasted the same as the “gin” but was brown in colour. Not sure if we would go all inclusive again after this poor experience.
