Korakiana

Korakiana holidays

Not far from Corfu Town, things get pretty relaxed in rural Korakiana. You’ll find the map splits into Ano Korakiana and Kato Korakiana, to symbolise the upper and lower parts. The dense, rugged scenery is blushed with pretty flowers, and you’ll discover folkloric traditions, beautiful churches, and ceramic artwork.

Then and now

This historic town has retained a lot of its charm since its early settlement days, and is one of Corfu’s oldest. Noble families typically lived here at first, so you’ll notice a clutch of well-preserved mansions. Nowadays, dainty craft shops, traditional tavernas, and bakeries oozing sweet aromas stand proud in the centre.

All the sights

There’s no better way to get a true snapshot of the gorgeous Greek surroundings than to get out and about. Hire a bike, go pony trekking, or maybe even enjoy a cruise across the water. You could even head off to explore what lies over in neighbouring Ipsos.
