Argostoli

Argostoli holidays

Modern and cosmopolitan, Argostoli provides the culture of an island capital together with the local warmth of a smaller resort – it’s a real treasure trove. Sitting at the end of a sheltered bay, this port is home to libraries, wine bars and trendy shops. You might even catch a glimpse of turtles!

A real catch

From working boats to luxury yachts, the harbour is the focal point of the seafront. Early morning, watch the local fisherfolk bring their catch ashore, or later go for a stroll as the sun goes down along the palm-fringed promenade. There’s a really classic feel to this port.

Traditional meets new

Much of the capital’s had a bit of a facelift in the last few decades, giving it a totally modern feel. But the typical Greek touches remain, and you can still notice the traditional way of life making it a family-friendly destination. The nightlife is one to tempt couples too.
