Five Wells Square

Five Wells Square

Before 1838, Zadar used to get all of its water from five large wells constructed in 1574. You can visit the site of the former moat, now a pretty square, where they stand. There’s also the old ‘Captain’s Tower’ that you can climb up for a good look at the neighbouring gardens of Queen Jelena Madijevka Park.
