Eating and drinking
Olbia’s Old Town’s packed with places to sample Sardinia’s seriously good cuisine, so make a beeline for Corso Umberto. For a true island experience, head out of town to one of the local agriturismos (traditional farms) to tuck into roast suckling pig and homegrown wine.
Shopping
Fashion fan? Corso Umberto snakes through Olbia’s centre, lined with local boutiques selling clothes, shoes and jewellery. The side streets are where you’ll find arts and crafts. If it’s stalls stacked full of Sardinian goodies you’re after, head for Mercato Porto Romano on a Tuesday.
Getting around
As Olbia’s a compact city, it’s easy to navigate its streets on foot. If you’re thinking of venturing out of town to explore Sardinia’s epic coast, you can either hire a car through Jet2carhire or make the most of the local bus network.
