Next to the fisherman’s harbour, you’ll find Pomos Municipal Beach, where a laidback beach bar and crystal-clear waters go hand in hand. You can also visit pebbly Tpoulorotsos Beach within a five-minute drive, or if you fancy stretching your legs, a 35-minute walk.
Within a 30-minute drive along the coast, you can reach busier spots such as Polis, Latsi or Pyrgos if you fancy a change of scene. Explore long, sandy stretches, rows of shops and wonderful seafood. Swimming enthusiasts should also make a stop at Limni Pier or Dragon Cave.
The trail to Nea Dimmata packs in sweeping sea views and picturesque fruit trees. A walk through the part of Paphos Forest that borders Pomos is a must if you love to immerse yourself in nature. Pine trees and thyme are sure to activate your senses.

Alykes beach is easy to get to and has everything you’ll need to enjoy the sun and sea. You can hire sunbeds and umbrellas to relax, unwind and enjoy your holiday read. And with lifeguards on duty it’s a safe beach for a spot of swimming or water sports in the clean, clear blue water.

Trekking the Caledonia Waterfalls takes a reasonable degree of fitness, so make sure you’re in good shape if you plan on making it to the top. A lower and much less demanding route is the 20-minute walk from the village of Pano Platres via Aedonion road, which takes you directly to the main waterfall.

The impressive mosaics and frescoes offset the tranquillity of Kykkos Monastery. After a beautiful drive through the mountains, you finally reach this lavish set of buildings, dating back to the 11th century. Don’t miss its fascinating museum showcasing lots of interesting artefacts and colourful paintings.
