Spread across various exhibitions and galleries, there are some spellbinding collections of art. Learn all about French history in the Napoleon Museum, but there’s a site for learning about all things oceanographic, as well as a museum for avid stamp collectors. Sand in the south

Sand in the south

Monaco’s only strip of sand, Larvotto Beach, gives you time to enjoy jet-skiing, windsurfing and volleyball, all with a stunning view of the South of France’s sweeping shorefronts. If you fancy venturing out into the brilliant azures of the Mediterranean Sea, take a boat trip from Port Hercules and see what all the fuss is about.

Shopping
Designer labels, chic brands, classy boutiques – Monaco is every bit the expensive shopping haven you’d imagine. Carré d'Or is home to the finer stores, so you’re in for a very exclusive window-browsing experience. You can shop on more of a budget, though. You’ll find household names dotted about the streets, plus fruit and veg markets.
