Ponte Pietra

Ponte Pietra

One of Roman Verona's most important monuments, the Stone Bridge or Ponte Pietra is the oldest bridge in Verona and can be dated to 100 BC. Partially destroyed by retreating German troops in 1945, the bridge was painstakingly reconstructed in the 1950s using original materials.
