St Mary's Church

St Mary's Church

The Church of St Mary was founded in 1066 on one side of the old Roman forum. During World War II the allies destroyed much of the building and surrounding city monuments in bombing runs, but it has been delicately reconstructed. Inside is an example of baroque architecture with some early Renaissance frescos.
