About town

Things here are pretty laid-back, which is all part of the appeal. You’ve got all the usual ingredients of a lakeside town – banks, grocery shops and a handful of tasty pizzerias. Further out by the shoreline in neighbouring Torbole, there’s a holiday vibe around the café-lined harbour and pretty pebble beach. The waters lend themselves nicely to sports too: sailing, surfing, swimming – it’s all going on.

Take a hike

Wonderful walking trails mapped out with picnic plots and beauty spots make this a walker’s paradise. After a nosy around the impressive Forte di Nago, pick up the centuries-old Holy Lucia’s Road nearby, and follow it through a patchwork of fragrant olive groves and twisting vineyards towards Torbole. And don’t forget your camera – the sweeping views up here are just something else.
