Santa Eulalia Holidays

Show on Map

Experience the quieter side of Ibiza, with a blend of relaxed island vibes, world-class food and laid-back atmosphere.

Old-world Spain at its finest

The party may be in full swing over at San Antonio Bay, but here on the west coast of Ibiza life is a little more relaxed. Enjoy the beautiful beaches, warm waters and seaside views during the day, then head to the marina for a glass of sangria while the setting sun paints the sky red.

A food lover’s paradise

Santa Eulalia has long had a reputation as Ibiza’s gastronomical capital – if you head to Restaurant Street you’ll see why. This foodie heaven is lined with restaurants serving delicacies from all over the world alongside Spanish classics, such as some of the most delicious seafood paella you’ll ever taste.

Insider Tip

The first Sunday of May sees the Santa Eulalia Flower Festival, during which a parade of brightly coloured flowers is wheeled through the town for all to see.

Best beaches

Santa Eulalia town is home to two stretches of spotlessly clean sand, both of which are packed with watersports such as banana boating, water-skiing and pedalos. Santa Eulalia beach is 300m long and in the heart of the town, backed by a promenade of bars and eateries. From 2016, this beach will become the first smoke-free stretch of sand in the Balearics. The Playa del Río de Santa Eulalia in the south is home to fine, light-coloured sand and a seabed that is shallow and safe for children.

Top sights

Away from the partying and bright lights of Ibiza’s west coast, Santa Eulalia is better known as the cultural centre of the island. Be sure to climb the Puig de Missa hill, which rises above the town. The views are amazing and you can visit the 16th-century church while you’re at the top. There’s also an an Etnographic museum to pop into on the way back down. The marina is worth a visit too – you can admire the collection of beautiful and exclusive yachts.

Out and about

Hop on board the Ibiza Tourist Train for a 15km tour through the hills and pine covered valleys of the island. You’ll get to enjoy some stops at the beaches and attractions of the area. Children will also love the assault course at Acrobosc Ibiza, while adults can head to Roca Llisa, a huge golf course just a 10-minute drive away.

Eating and drinking

Santa Eulalia has a long-established reputation as Ibiza’s gastronomic centre and it’s well earned. Restaurant Street is packed with side-by-side restaurants where tables spill out on to the street – the authentic Spanish paella and deep-fried salted chilli peppers here are a must. The seafood at beachside restaurant La Fontana is very popular with the locals, while Sandy’s Bar does some of the best Bloody Marys on the island.

Santa Eulalia is home to many boutiques and high-end gift shops, with everything from sportswear to furniture on offer. For mementos of your trip, the best place to head is the Paseo de S’Alamera, a tree-lined avenue of artisan stalls selling jewellery, hand-crafted souvenirs and colourful sarongs. The beautiful Sal de Ibiza is another highlight, and sells a variety of genuine Spanish fashion.

Santa Eulalia is more low-key than Ibiza’s party towns, but there are still plenty of hotels and bars to have a drink while watching the sun go down. Head to the bars along the promenade at Calle de San Jaime to enjoy a quiet glass of sangria. Down at the marina, things get a little livelier. Be sure to head to Guarana, where you can sip on raspberry daiquiris while watching live bands and DJs.
