These gorgeous gardens are ideal for balmy afternoon strolls, all rustic and resplendent, with ornate fountains to marvel at. Wander a little longer and you’ll find the beach, so be prepared to stare out to sea in staggering surroundings.
A picturesque base for exploring this incredible island, you’ll be well placed for pretty views and excellent day trips here in the resort. Explore St Paul’s Bay, making the most of its shops, bars and restaurants as you go, or hop on a bus trip to Malta’s remarkably cool capital, Valletta.

San Anton is renowned for its beautiful gardens, particularly the San Anton Gardens, which are one of the largest and most popular public gardens in Malta. The gardens feature a variety of flora, fountains, and statues, making it a perfect place for leisurely walks and picnics.
The best times to visit San Anton are during spring (April to June) and autumn (September to November) when the weather is mild and the gardens are in full bloom. Early mornings or late afternoons can be particularly peaceful.
San Anton Gardens is a family-friendly location, perfect for children to explore nature. The spacious areas allow for picnics and playtime, making it an excellent outing for families.
While San Anton itself is more famous for its gardens and historical sites, nearby areas like St. Julian's and Sliema offer lovely beaches. Popular choices include St. George's Bay and Exiles Beach, which provide beautiful views and facilities for visitors.
San Anton Gardens is relatively accessible, with paved pathways that allow for easier mobility. However, some areas may have uneven ground; it's advisable to check in advance regarding specific accessibility features if needed.
