About Gerani
Image
Text
Quiet, calm and totally peaceful – that’s about the size of it in Gerani. This part of Chania Area has a modest line-up of old buildings, a Blue Flag beach, and a handful of traditional tavernas. Next door in Platanias, you can expect a busier atmosphere and decent nightlife scene.

Feeling blue?

In the north of the village, you’ll find Gerani’s knockout feature: its Blue Flag beach. It’s a blend of fine sand and pebbly patches, with glossy, clear waters. Hire a spot with a parasol and take the load off, or even see what the water sports offering includes.

Expand your horizons

Gorgeous olive groves and swathes of greenery surround the resort. This is just one of the reasons why it’s a favourite among hikers. Head to the White Mountains for even more of an expedition! A day-trip to Chania Old Town is well worth it, for Venetian Harbour views and lunch by the lighthouse.
