hotel very clean staff were excellent and nothing was a problem, breakfast was very good plus we ate in the restaurant one night where the food was excellent and good value. The view from the room was impressive

Fantastic location, staff lovely and helpful, rooms spotless, cleaned everyday we had a premium seaview defiantly worth it. Downside we arrived midday and although knew check in want until 1.00pm they kept our suitcase while we went had lunch came back just after 1 and our room still wasnt ready so we had to wait another hour and 20 mins. We had a late flight back and requested a late check out at 6.00pm but the latest we could check out was 2.00pm for €20 as they was busy but they kept our suitcase for us. Would have loved a bath but only had shower. O would definitely stay here again so close to everything

Right in the centre of the old town, the hotel is surrounded by great bars and restaurants, open all day and evening. A few minutes from the marina and beach, and a short walk to the tram station, the train station and the bus station - and what a wonderful view over the marina!

first class location,lovely room and charming staff,views fantastic.staff obliging,and room immaculate.breakfast plentiful and superb variety.will definately return.and would definately recommend staying in the heart of the action

Ideal location More of a 1 night sort of place( stayed 4 nights with my daughter) and wouldn't stay again . Restaurant on 26th floor- lovely views, expensive and very small amounts Downstairs could of done with bar facilities

Excellent location, marina, beach, castle, shops, cafes all a short walk away. Hotel good choice for a weekend break. Although classed as a 4 star, we say its more like a british 3 star hotel. Clean and tidy, basic room is small especially the bathroom. Hotel breakfast expensive at 15 euros, plenty of outside choice at cafes at around 5 euros.

Perfectly decent hotel, a little bit tired maybe, at one end of a major city street. Fortunately it is only 20 metres from the top of the street, which ends at the Explanada de Espana, a beautiful pedestrian parade with open air restaurants and stalls, palm trees and Spanish tiling. Then cross a parallel main road (safe crossing provided) to the large, glam marina. Left 200 metres and you are at the Postiguet?, the main city beach, and a big harbour development. So location does it for me. Oh Yes, the hotel. Nothing much wrong, but try for a high floor (its the tallest tower in the city) as it can be noisy and the sound proofing isn't brilliant. My room had a tiny terrace, but far too noisy to sit out. Save a taxi fare from the airport and take the C6 bus to the Marina stop (Melia hotel) and walk along the Explanada to the hotel, 250 metres maybe and you will spot where you will eat that night.

When booking ask for a sea view with balcony, we got put in a standard room with no balcony. Roons cleaned daily. No tourist info had to ask then all we got was a map for open top bus and where to get it. No info on the city's main attraction the santa Barbra castle. Roof top restaurant very dated and food didn't smell good but even if you don't eat there you must go on an evening for amazing views. Bar downstairs didn't open till 6pm. Very little facilities at this hotel but the location is excellent
