Over on the south-east side of La Palma, you’ll find charming and tranquil Brena Baja. It’s famed for its stunning sea views, thanks to its hillside location and the surrounding volcanic valleys and lush pine forests. At its historic heart, you can admire the San José church and experience vibrant local fiestas. Plus, it’s only 3km from the capital, Santa Cruz!

The Blue Flag stretch of Los Cancajos is just a ten-minute drive away. It showcases a unique, volcanic black sand and is ideal for sunbathing and swimming. Fancy a walk or a bite to eat? Stroll along the promenade which stretches right along the sand and pick up some local treats.
Away from the beautiful coastline, you’ve got miles and miles of inland paths to uncover. Whether walking or hiking, you can admire the flora and fauna in the area, before stopping off to take in the views. The viewpoint of Montaña de la Breña is one that’s not to be missed!
Looking to get out and about and explore this captivating Canary island? Hiring a car and cruising at your own pace is what we’d recommend. The whole island itself is only 30 miles long and its good network of roads make it super easy to explore!
