About Panteli
Image
Text
You’ll find the traditional fishing village of Panteli right next to the capital of the island, Agia Marina. It’s just below the impressive Apityki hill, where Leros Castle and the island’s famous windmills are located. There are a handful of bars and tavernas along the beachfront, but Panteli still retains its laidback and authentic feel.

Walk up to the castle

Fancy a challenge? Take the 300 steps up to Leros Castle and be rewarded with stunning views of the windmills, the island below and the glistening Aegean Sea. Wander the well-preserved ruins and learn about the site’s history. If you don’t feel like stretching your legs, you can also reach it by car.

Visit the marina

Day or night, a stroll along Agia Marina’s promenade is a real treat. Bob in and out of the charming shops and restaurants or simply grab a seat at one of the waterfront bars and watch the world go by with a drink in hand.
