This hilltop town gives you the perfect vantage point for glancing out over the Aegean and down across the caldera – a dormant volcano that hides beneath the water. You can head to Athinos port and enjoy a boat trip to many of the surrounding islands. Thirassia, Nea Kameni and Palea Kameni all sit within Santorini’s crescent shape, so you can be there in no time. Fancy checking out some of the other gorgeous Greek islands?
