Barcelo Hamilton

Stayed in room 207 15th to 25th June. Superior room with sea view was excellent, comfortable bed, excellent drench shower and spotlessly clean. One downside was dinner. We were half board and I suppose when you only pay £5.80pppn for evening meal you shouldn’t have high expectations, bit some customers comments re temperature of food are valid. In fact one night we saw the restaurant manager with a customer and the kitchen staff were using a temperature probe to show the customer how hot the food was. Some nights the food was of a reasonable standard, but the confit duck one night I struggled to chew. Lunch in the restaurant on the other hand was excellent everyday apart from one when the entrecote steak was like the duck. I found the drinks in the hotel expensive at €6.60 for a local gin and tonic, €3.40 for a 330ml bottle of beer, €2.15 for a small bottle of still water, although £13 a bottle for house wine was ok. The staff are incredibly friendly and always helpful and will do whatever to make your stay enjoyable. The entertainment at night was on the whole enjoyable with the Il Divo tribute the star of the 10 days. Thank you to Jose, Monica, Margarita and Veronica our cleaner.

From smooth check in to smooth check out, it was a wonderful, chilled, relaxing, and revitalizing experience. From reception, poolside, restaurant,s, bars, entertainment and cleaners, all the staff were professional, courteous, and as helpful as required. Cannot wait to revisit this marvellous place.k

For the price was quite disappointing! Had a great holiday but food was a bit of a let down and all inclusive was not really worth it as there is not much choice. Most staff were friendly and helpful. Entertainment was ok, could have been better though.

Slightly away from the busy area of Mahon, for elderly/disabled people a need for a taxi. Or a slow walk to catch a bus is a good 10/15 . However we are elderly, and have visited the hotel now on several occasions, always enjoying the view from the room and roof top.

Really lovely place - a few niggles stopped me from giving it 5 .. unreliable air con, no light in the shower cubicle, over enthusiastic maids (despite a "quiet" sign on the door they came in) terrible piped music all day by the pool & worst... €5 a day to use the safe. I've never ever been charged to use a safe! Also chairs being dragged over stone floors at all times ....eugh But, the staff were amazing (one snide Sat morning receptionist aside) and the room almost perfect.  Breakfast was excellent and there is a beautiful harbour 5 mins away with bars and restaurants a plenty

Enjoyed holiday, cannot fault anything, staff, food, accommodation all great. This was second holiday in this hotel and still same quality. Location of hotel also wonderful, lovely walk to near by harbour. Hotel also provides entertainment in evening, these again were very good.

Stayed at this hotel from 13th-20th September and not really impressed at all. Firstly we arrived at 1.45 and room was not ready so we went for lunch in pool bar where the waitress was a lovely helpful person just a shame when we returned to check in they were not the same we have travelled all over the world to some of the best hotels and have to say some not so good but I can honestly say we have never been treated in such an unprofessional way as we were at the Barceló Hamilton. Let me explain a couple of weeks before we were due to go to this hotel I emailed them to say it was a birthday gift for my husband and as he loved cruising and boats could we have a room on a high floor and also a bottle of champagne and some strawberries in the room for our arrival. Well we are still waiting we never got the high room or the champagne and strawberries instead we got a room on the first floor 117 overlooking the restaurant and the rude unprofessional reception staff had no intention of helping even when I showed them the email I had sent all they could repeat was we don't have paperwork and basically made me out to be lying saying that's not our email address even though I got it from their website. I also had to ask her could she give me the courtesy of reading it which she never did. Next we will talk about the food OMG!!! awful never warm and so repetitive. we had an avocado salad for lunch one day and you could have bounced it off the floor it was so hard I could not cut it also one evening we had pork and it was the same. We were on an all inclusive basis and you were limited to what you could have from the bar and also food at the pool bar which we have never had before and always go all inclusive this by far is the poorest AI we have ever stayed in. Plus points only one was PACO who served in the bars what a lovely professional young man he is and a credit to the company I bet he does not work there very long as he is far better than there and am sure he would be very much more appreciated elsewhere thanks to him we were able to make light of the whole experience THANK YOU PACO.

Stayed for the third time at Barcelo Hamilton. I can't speak highly enough of this hotel. Location is excellent and close to local bus service if you want to travel further afield. Although the hote l offers everything you could wish for.

What a fabulous hotel. Food, staff, location and amenities were all perfect. Great choice of food for both breakfast and dinner(half-board). Stunning setting on the out-door terrace, overlooking the harbor.

Lovely hotel, lots of space, nice staff and food nice. Enjoyed the roof top bar, hot tubs and space. The food and drinks were good. Never had a problem getting sun beds at anytime. Nearest shop a few minutes walk away.

Exceeded our expectations. Amazing location. The food was excellent. We had planned to eat out more but didn't feel the necessity. Loved the roof top hot tubs and bar. We would go back again, beautiful hotel and pleasant staff

This hotel was brilliant. Very clean and modern. Staff were brilliant and food was wonderful, very well presented and lots of choice. The location of this hotel is fabulous, The views are absolutely amazing.

Relax and enjoy, it's a wonderful island and this is the perfect hotel to enjoy it from. Staff are really helpful and pleasant and the quality of the hotel and it's food and services is exceptional. We were even invited to a free cocktail party to celebrate the opening of the Sky Bar for the summer season.
