Valentin Son Bou

We have been staying at this hotel-sometimes twice a year for the last twenty years, and we love it- it is like coming home. The staff are fantastic, and like family-nothing is too much trouble-good food-fantastic scenery-can't wait until we go again in October.

Average facilities, tired furniture, redeemed by excellent food and service. Good swimming pool area, with plenty of sunbeds but freezing water. Small interior pool much better. Hotel is set on steep hill, challenging return on foot. Small, pleasant town.

I have previously reviewed this hotel, we have stayed numerous times over the years and it gets better and better. It's not luxurious compared to other hotels but very comfortable. The staff are exceptional, the food is outstanding and the location is great.

this is one of the best hotels we have been in this is our 4th time we have been and plan to go again next year. it is clean and bright and the staff are really friendly,i requested the same room what we had previous years and they gave it us againwe went in September for 10 nights and I say our last 4 or 5th day it seemed to be very busy when we had our evening meal and we had to wait 5 10 minutes for a table tried to vary it at different times and the best time would be when the restaurant first opened.the pool area was really quite and plenty of sunbeds for guest and no one put any towels out on the sunbeds to save.theres a free mini bus from the hotel which takes you to the beach and the town as it is very steep up to the hotel.entertainment is very good but if you just want a quite night they have a lovely little adult barwe would recommend this hotel and we will be going again next year

The hotel and staff are superb. Our third time at this hotel. Can't praise it enough. Excellent food, the rooms were clean, tidy and very bright and airy. Staff were very friendly and professional. A variety of activites during the day and a good entertainment programme for the evening.

Brilliant Hotel. All the staff were really helpful and the general service was excellent. The entertainment team deserve a special mention. The entertainment was very good and the team really work hard to get everyone involved. Lots of sunbeds available and the pool was lovely.

Had a great 2 week holiday at the Valentin Son Bou, food was excellent, staff were really friendly and helpful, room was very comfortable, the room was immaculately cleaned every day by the singing maids, would definitely stay here again

We recently returned from a very enjoyable week at this hotel. We were a party of four 47,47, 23 and 20. The best bits of this hotel for us were the cleanliness, the food and the staff. The housekeeping team do a great job and Maria ensured our rooms were immaculate every day. Clean towels daily , floors swept each day etc. The hotel buffet is of a consistently high standard and we ate very well. One of our party is a coeliac aand he never struggled to find something to eat. This hotel really understands gluten free food. Particular thanks to Ava the chef, and Maxi and Nadal in the restaurant. Nadal met us every evening to discuss what was and wasn't suitable for a coaliac, and this made it really easy for us. This was the most plentiful , varied and fully thought out gluten free food we have had at any hotel. All the hotel staff are cheerful and friendly and we enjoyed Adrianna's yoga classes. We will definitely return to the Valentin Son Bou. Menorca is a beautiful island. We hired a car and it is easy to drive around and there are so many lovely places to see. The hotel is in a quiet area which we liked and does provide a shuttle bus to the beach , but we were glad we had the car to go further afield.

The hotel was good cleanliness was excellent. Staffing at times was stretched, particularly in the dining room. The hotel location was not really suitable for people with walking difficulties there were ramps but these were quite steep in places. It does not state anywhere about this. Local taxis were extremely helpful in accommodating wheelchairs. When we spoke to the rep she said most people hired cars but when you drive for a living you don't want to be driving on holiday as well, she also stated most people did research themselves before.
