H10 Playa Meloneras Palace

We first went to this hotel in dec 2022 and loved it so much,we decided to return in dec 23 but for a longer stay.the hotel is in a great,fairly quiet location just along the coast from melonaras. Staff were all super friendly, helpful and efficient. Rooms well maintained and bright and clean. Excellent choice of food at the buffet,frequently replenished but also a good selection on the grill.swimming pool areas are spotlessly clean. Several outdoor and indoor bars to choose.

This is still an amazing hotel, but two things stopped me from giving it 5 stars. Firstly in 2022 I would expect 4 & 5 star hotels to have tea and coffee facilities in every room as standard. Secondly it was disappointing that the pool bar no longer serves snacks/food at lunch time. When I was at this hotel a few years ago you could get sandwiches, toasties, salads, burgers etc at the pool bar which was lovely. Now you can only get lunch in the restaurant behind the pool bar which was mostly proper meals and didn’t have the same ambience as the pool bar did.

This was our first visit to this hotel and we were extremely impressed with everything. The hotel is beautifully designed and very attractive inside and outside. The rooms were very comfortable, clean and had plenty of storage space and a mini bar. The balcony was a good size with comfortable chairs and a table. The hotel buffet restaurant had a great choice of food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I was pleased to see the rule about gents wearing long trousers for dinner was strictly observed. The A La Carte, Gaudi restaurant was fantastic, although we were surprised to discover that All Inclusive guests had to pay a 50% charge for food. This was not mentioned when we booked our holiday but we were happy to pay because it was excellent food and service. The swimming pool complex is very good, with 2 heated pools and an adults only pool. The La Choza outdoor pool bar and restaurant was very good for lunch and drinks, also the Tropical pool bar too. We had a very relaxing holiday, the weather was very good and we would recommend it to anyone who enjoys quality holidays .

We have just returned from 9 nights at this beautiful hotel and cannot praise it enough from the hotel itself to the staff, food, entertainment programme all first class. We were on the Privilege service offered by H10 hotels and it really is worth every penny. On arrival we were checked in by Nico who is wonderful, so polite and knowledgeable we picked his brains several times for information about places to visit. Nicoletta in the Gaudi restaurant is fabulous at her job and nothing is too much trouble for her, and Rui who helps at breakfast is a really nice man after our first day he did not need reminding that we had skimmed milk with our tea and always bought us Buck’s Fizz with our breakfast starts the day off nicely. Africa who helps at dinner is also lovely and so polite. Vicente in the Choza restaurant at lunch time was just one of the nicest people we have ever met so funny but so efficient and along with Fernando he made our lunch times really fun. We did also use the buffet restaurant a couple of times and everything in there was also very nice with plenty of choice both hot and cold and gorgeous desserts. The entertainment was sometimes better than others but that is just personal taste, we thoroughly enjoyed the Queen tribute, and the drag queen night well worth a visit. The Privilege rooms have amazing views over the sea and are so quiet. The mini bar is included and re-stocked every other day the only downside was that unlike the Rubicon in Lanzarote there were no spirits in it and I used to enjoy a g & t whilst getting ready for dinner but it was no problem to get one from the piano bar and take it to the room. The infinity pool was gorgeous and lovely and warm and had beautifully views over the sea. NOW just a few little niggles:- The Privilege lounge lacked atmosphere it was like sitting in an airport waiting room hence there was hardly ever anyone in it. There is a nice Privilege area by the pool that has cava and water available to help yourself too and sometimes someone would come round and offer drinks at your sun beds along with slices of melon which was nice but more drink choice would have been nice, although you can get drinks from the Choza bar be it in plastic glasses. The only drawback to our room was that it never got any sun on the balcony we did look into changing our room on the second day but were told to come back the next day and they would see if they could change it but after considering the re-packing we stayed put.

Arrived at Hotel greeted with a glass of bubbly. Reception staff very courteous we were staying in the privilege rooms all located on the 6 or 7 th floor. Great views of the pool and ocean from a small balcony with a table and two recliner chairs on it took to approx 3 pm to get the sun onto the room which wasn’t a problem the views of the sunset were exceptional. Room we equipped with the usual facilities. Safe and fridge with some drinks re stocked every other day. Gaudi restaraunt is able to be booked for evening meal if on the privilege which serves some fine dining. The other evening restaraunt is self service all staff keep stations full with plenty of choice. Several pools on site choice of large double bed style sun lounger of single sun loungers. Ever seemed that busy that there was no bed available strict no reserving of bed policy which was good to see. There is a spa on site which we used on several occasion definately worth a visit. I could go on and on about the staff who work endlessly to ensure everyone’s happy I’d recommend the hotel for those wanting a relaxed atmosphere with a little added luxury .

Spent a short break at this hotel in mid December. Weather was very warm -mid 20’s. Hotdl is in an excellent location -a nice walk to and from the lighthouse and sand dunes. We took advantage of the privilege club - well worth it -as we ate in the Gaudi restaraunt every evening and for breakfast. Staff there are great and the restaurant is well managed by the excellent Nicolleta! We would recommend lunch at the poolside bar -again great food and service -special mention to Sergio who was great. Also the Privlidge lounge was good and we were well looked after by Karima who made sure we had plenty of Cava and fruit in the sun deck area. Entertainment was fair -we enjoyed the temptations and the Jivettes -good shows. Also the casino night was a good laugh and a good way of meeting other guests. Also the sax player who played at the sunset was superb as were the pianist who played at the main bar We also liked the bag drop at the hotel (Jet2) which meant a stress free time at the airport. We didn’t use the buffet - as we made good use of the Gaudi restaraunt -but there looked a good choice of food.We were lucky with our room allocation -we had a suite on level6 which was a great location for watching the sunsets. The room was well equipped and had very comfortable bedsA really good hotel in a good location.

This hotel is wonderful. From the architecture, through to service, food, facilities and, most of all, the staff we could not have asked for more.The one disappointing thing about the hotel is the Gaudi a la carte restaurant. Overpriced and underfed sums it up. If you are AI or half board stick to the main buffet restaurant,you will be well fed and considerably richer.

Excellent hotel on the seafront just enough away from the busy area of Meloneras. The food in the hotel was exceptionally good. As vegetarians we always have difficulty getting a good selection in hotels but this one was no problem. It had the best choice for everyone.

Had a great stay. Immaculate hotel and grounds. Good food with lots of choice. Helpful staff. Good location, peaceful, sea views and nice walk along the promenade to the shopping area. Lovely pool areas with plenty of sunbeds.

Have stayed at the hotel 6 times but service not as good as it used to be especially for a 5 star. Feel there was not as many staff so they were running around. We upgraded to Privilage as we have done on previous visits but we were not getting what we should, pool towels not changed everyday as they should rooms not cleaned as you would expect from a 5 star.
